We can not sing this home's praises enough. My (now) husband and I have always dreamed of owning a home and having a backyard wedding but after being engaged for years and still in a Brooklyn apartment, we came up with the idea of renting a house and getting a chance to live our dream even if it was only for a short time.
We held our wedding in the backyard, which should be registered as a botanical garden, at the edge of the gorgeous pond to the songs of birds, frogs, the wind through the trees and reeds, with the lush forest as a backdrop. It was PERFECTION! Our guests were all blown away by the grounds and the oasis Payam has created in this house.
We honeymooned in the house and the tranquility was amazing. Every detail of the house was exquisite. It truly felt like not just a home, but our home. We spent our days on the porches in the chaise lounges, laying in the warm grass, making s'mores in the fire pits, grilling, wondering through the woods and enjoying the local wildlife. While the college town of New Paltz was only 20 minutes away and had everything we could ever want, Pine Bush was not only charming but fully equipped with everything our hearts desired. Heaven on Earth Health Food Store put NYC's Whole Foods Market locations to shame!
The home, property and area was so charming that all of our original plans went out the window. We were too relaxed and in total comfort just where we were. Every moment, even during this "stressful" time was turned to bliss.
If everything else wasn't enough, Payam and his family were amazing! Not only were they wonderful people but they were so accommodating! Our every need, concern, question, etc. were met with a smile. If you're planning a wedding or are married, you know how crazy it can be but Payam was happy to help, even sharing photos of his own wedding at the house to help us with inspiration.
We can't wait to come back and can't recommend staying here enough! You will not regret it!
Thank you for everything!
Victoria & Jon
P.S. When waking up the first morning after we returned home and not seeing the skylight above, I actually moaned "Oh nooooo!!!". It hurt so much to leave.
