FANTASTIC! FANTASTIC! FANTASTIC!

We were very excited to book this apt because, honestly, it looked a little too good to be true. Great price. Great view. Great location. I can only say that all of our expectations were far exceeded. The apt is clean and there is lots of space (especially for NYC). The kitchen was great - we used it for keeping some fruit and milk cold and having a couple of simple breakfasts (we were in NYC - eating in wasn't an option) :-) The bathroom is smallish, but we weren't cramped. There are towels, wash cloths, etc... And the view was awesome! You can see the Statue of Liberty off in the distance - my 7 yo loved this!! The bedroom is great - very comfortable bed. And, there is an iron and ironing board as well as plenty of sheets and whatnot for the pull-out sofa. We were very comfortable with the temperature control (and pleased that it could be warmer in the living area, where our son slept, and cooler in the bedroom) It is in a building where the occupants probably don't love quick stays, so we kept a low profile, but managed to meet a lot of really friendly people in the building. The location is really great! Out the door, across a short bridge and you're right there at the 1 line. You've got to walk up the street just a bit to get to the uptown R, but the exit for the R is next to the the 1 line and is super convenient. If you are going to the WTC site or on a Statue of Liberty tour, you are steps away from both. Much of the tourist "excitement" is in Midtown or higher, but there are plenty of restaurants nearby - although, not quite as swanky, they are convenient. My only reservation on recommending this apartment is that we'd like to book it the next time we're in town and we don't want it to get too popular. :-) Seriously - one of the best places I've ever stayed in NYC and I can't speak highly enough of Terry and their fast response to emails as well as a quick return of the deposit.

FANTASTIC APARTMENT

5 of 5
My wife and I stayed for a 10-day vacation at this fantastic 1-bedroom apartment in summer 2012, with our 5 year old son. We loved it. The roomy and stylishly decorated apartment is equipped with everything we needed, and the views are truly spectacular. The doorman'ed building is very welcoming, and the battery park city neighborhood is peaceful and very child-friendly. There is a lovely playground just outside the building, and the beautiful Hudson river esplanade is a very short walk away. It is amazing that all of this is also within easy walking distance of the busy Wall street area. This apartment is not cheap, but it is worth every penny. We will be very happy to stay here again on our next vacation in NYC.
