FANTASTIC VACATION FOR ALL!

5 of 5
This was our second trip to the lake with my husband and our two children ages 10 & 15. My two brother-in-laws and their families (with kids ages 6-10) joined us. The house is absolutely wonderful with easy access for my husband who uses a manual wheelchair. I searched everywhere for a private, relaxing spot on a lake where getting down to the water would not be an issue. I am so fortunate to have found such a wonderful cottage on such a beautiful lake! The owners went above and beyond to make sure we had the appropriate accommodations for the wheelchair. The perfect spot whether you want to relax and connect with family and friends, or be active swimming, boating, fishing, hiking, kayaking etc... The kids were occupied from morning to night and we all enjoyed making dinners on the grill and eating on the dock. Campfires at night made for a perfect ending to the day. The house has all the supplies readily available for all these activities. Even a rainy day is relaxing spent inside the house since it is well kept, cozy and comfortable. Location is great to take a beautiful drive to the Thousand Islands for a day. I would recommend this cottage on the lake to anyone looking to create memories with their vacation that will last a lifetime! I can't wait to get back! (Carolyn, Fleetwood, PA)

Wonderful Home: Quiet, Peaceful, Beautiful

5 of 5
This property was very clean and beautiful. The location is fantastic for a quiet retreat. Fishing in Trout lake was very good, even off the dock! The multi-level deck gives fantastic views of the lake. Hearing the loons sing and the whipper whills are very relaxing. The owners were very accommodating with a special request that we asked for. There was plenty of firewood, the grill had a full tank of propane, the boat was gassed up and ready to go. We had a blast and definitely plan on returning to Loon Song Cottage.

Our favorite vacation spot!

5 of 5
Been coming to the North Shore for seven of the past eight years because it is truly the best vacation we've ever had. I have been hesitant to write a review because they only have a limited number of rental weeks available, and when you find a gem like this you keep your mouth shut. But we're pretty much locked in. We've never had a vacation that was this easy, and seemingly compulsory, to relax and have fun. Every spot on the property draws you to the water and makes you feel a part of nature. The house is super clean and the owners are honest, friendly and respectful. The description is accurate. In addition, it is a nice balance of modern living with a homey, cabin feel. The kids just entertain themselves with so many activities and easy access in and out of the water. We just keep one eye on them from the comfort of the screened in porch or soaking up the sun on the dock. (The wrap-around porch alone is worth the price of admission. Eat every meal out there if you can and at night play cards or one of their board games.) And there are so many peaceful places to read or practice the art of doing nothing. It's a unique feeling of privacy, yet you feel connected to everything that's going on around you. I don't know if there is a word for it but cozy doesn't do it justice. It's simply a well designed space for a get-a-way vacation.
