                    Simply splendidly!

                    5 of 5
We are a family (2 adults and 2 children) from Berlin / Germany and were 2 weeks here. Our flat (Bala B4) was 10 minutes away from the office. The flat is very nice for a small family, Subway, restaurants and shopping stores are in close vicinity. Our flat had a small kitchenette which was equipped with all what we needed. All in all, it was very earthy and we felt the NY flair more clearly than in the hotel room. On the Corner there was Starbucks our first stop every morning. The employees in the office are anxious incredibly friendly, obliging and always granted our wishes to our best. All in all we felt like Kings in a palace. Sanctuary Guest Suites will be our number one choice for our vacation next year!

                    Fanfunkingtastic!!!

We've just come back from our mini break in New York and can't eulogise enough how great this apartment is and how absolutely lovely and accommodating our host Ximena was. Four of us stayed, including two lively boys aged 3 and 6, and the place was perfect. The apartment is in right in the centre of the LES, literally a stone's throw from Katz's deli. It's a bit noisy at night, we knew what to expect before we arrived, but if you don't want hustle and bustle then NYC isn't really the place for you. The apartment was spacious for New York and larger than I imagined from the website photos and description, it would suit families and groups of friends. Both beds were comfy, the kitchen had everything we needed (including a table and 4 chairs) and the bathroom had a nice hot shower. The heating in the apartment was amazing, so good we even had to open the window at some points. There's no TV but the wireless internet connection is fast and the computer with Netflix more than kept the boys entertained. As well as the kitchen, bathroom and living area there are two independent bedrooms, one is accessed via the other, which may not suit everyone but was fine for us. Ximena is fantastic, very welcoming, we were provided with lovely clean and fresh towels and linen ,and there were even two little NY choccy bars for the boys on their pillows. Nothing was a problem for Ximena, we lost a suitcase on the way out and so it was eventually delivered by courier following a call to Ximena at 1.15am. We even checked out of the apartment at 3pm as there were no guests coming to stay that night, not many hosts would let you do that! When you do stay here we can massively recommend the Remedy Diner, just down the road and good fun, see if you can conquer the pancake stack. When we go back to New York we're staying here again, brilliant.

Non-Touristy Tourist DREAM LOCATION & APT

                    5 of 5
We arrived around 9p on a Saturday evening, which is prime restaurant time in NY, but we stopped @ Buenos Aires as instructed(right next door to apt) gave them our name and we were upstairs in 5mins. No need to say much about the decor, you see the pictures, no surprises, exactly what you get. Which is fine, b/c how cool does this apt look? Clean linens and clean bathroom. The perfect place to stay for a week of walking NY. Some of the oldest establishments in NYC are a quick walk from apt, which is the main reason we chose it. The apt is 1 blk from Tompkins Square, they have farmer's markets on the weekend, a few blocks from McSorley's Bar, Katz's Deli, Prune Restaurant, I could go on and on. THIS is a PERFECT APT to stay in. Subways a few blks away, no hassle there. Can get a bit noisy on weekend nights, but that's just NYC! Maria is more than accommodating, just a good vibe all the way around. We will ALWAYS want to stay here when we visit NY. East Village is a diverse neighborhood, everything you might need is right around the corner. Drug store, grocery store, corner bodega literally 20 steps to the left from apt door, open 24hrs and they make a good sandwich! I will continue to recommend this apt to all my friends and family. Thanks for a nice place to lay our heads after a long day of NY adventures!
