Pure old east village delight

4 of 5
Super place...temperature control is difficult, though....really hot, then really cold...all control is within building itself...location is surrounded by music and great food,...apartment is clean, spacious, and as well maintained as a 100 year old walk up can be

Modern, warm and cosy

4 of 5
We arrived quite late from Sydney as our connecting flight was delayed so we were nervous about meeting Zac due to the time. We called Zac from the airport and he arranged for someone to meet us on arrival. Arriving well after 10pm, we were met by Matteo who was so friendly and showed us our apartment. It was so lovely and cosy. We were so excited and impressed. It was a great start to our trip. After going out to get some essentials, we got back to the apartments and realised we were in the wrong building. So probably advice to Sanctuary apartments would be to change the numbers on the rooms in building 75 as this was confusing but extremely funny at the same time. As we were staying a number of nights we got moved around to different floors. Each apartment was different but each were very nice. The only negative is that some of the rooms are a little noisy due to pipes but that was minimal. We were so jet lagged that we slept through it. Our luggage was always transferred safely whilst we were out which was really great. It was awesome to tell our friends about our neighbours. I won't give it away ;) we will definitely stay again. I have referred my friends from Sydney who are coming to NYC at the end of the year. The staff in the office namely Julie was excellent to deal with.

Our NYers vacation!

4 of 5
Our group (of 5 people) arrived late from the airport and with our surprise, we found the Owner, Tom there, doing the cleaning. He welcomed us and we had a nice chat with him, that provided us with more advices and suggestions (we've been in touch through emails since the booking, and he has always been really available and kind!). Tha apartment (on the 5th floor, as reported) is exactly as described and shown in the pictures (we also found a huge christmas tree waiting for us! :D ). It is an old but comfortable and homey place, really warm and full of supplies, expecially in the kitchen :) The place has also lots of Tom's creations and crafts (he's an artist infacts, a sculptor) and a beautiful piano. It's a quite neighborhood at the same distance from two subway stops and not far from shops, deli and restaurants. Wifi is provided. We had a really nice stay and we enjoyed our time. Thanks again to Tom for all his kindness and his quick replies. We'd be happy to go back there in a near future! :)
