We have stayed twice at this stylish yet warm home (October 2012 and 2013) and are hoping to return again this fall. The house exceeded our expectations the first time and welcomed us back the second. It balances the line between stylish and cosy to perfection!
Both times our interactions with the owner, Alex, were impeccable: easy to reach, easy to deal with, helpful and available, not to mention providing ideas on local restaurants, things to do and visit, etc. The 'great room' with stone fireplace and cathedral ceilings is a joy to spend evenings in, the kitchen a joy to cook in, the wooded yard (with frequent deer family visitors) is beautiful and peaceful. There are many walking paths amidst the nearby woods, it is perfectly close to East Hampton yet feels as if it is in a quiet country setting - the perfect mix of Hamptons life and relaxing quiet!
The master suite is a little haven with an amazing bath (water runs into it from the ceiling!) and shower - a boutique hotel feel. Our impression our first visit was that the pictures do not do justice to the house, i.e. It is better than we expected ( and the pictures are lovely so that is a testament to the home). We loved exploring nearby Montauk, Amagansett and Sag Harbor, all less than 15 - 20 minutes away.
A true joy and the feeling of returning home each time... To the home we wish we had and are lucky enough to 'have' for a week!
