Unbelievably big house with something for everyone.

4 of 5
We just returned from a weekend at the "mansion." We were a group of 27 family members three generations (15 grandkids ages 5-25). Everyone had a great time. The game room was wonderful and we actually ended up dancing under the disco ball on the dance floor. The indoor pool was a huge plus, and all the kids had a blast. The reasons I'm not giving it 5 stars are: there's no central air, and only 4 of the 16 bedrooms have air conditioning; none of the bathrooms upstairs had any towel racks or hooks to hang your towels on; The oversized deck only had one table to seat 6 (and it was rusty) and the deck chairs are those old chalky white plastic ones; there is absolutely no artwork (or photos) of any kind on any wall in the house and the bedrooms didn't have any nightstands or lamps. It really shouldn't be described as a mansion because it isn't. It's just a GIGANTIC house.

Relaxing weekend in the countryside with friends

5 of 5
We came up here for the Labor Day long weekend with some friends, two small kids and our two dogs. The house was perfect for such a large group - the kitchen had everything we needed and plenty of room on the sofas and around the dining table. Our dogs absolutely loved walking around the woods and trees at the back of the property. The road is very quiet and we rarely saw any traffic, the only detractor was the sawmill at the bottom of the hill which spoiled the ambience somewhat, but you can't see or hear it from the house. We took a few trips to the local towns for supplies, stopping at the Catskill Market near Liberty and a famers market at Bethel Woods; plenty of local produce for evening feasts. Highly recommended for a group of friends or large family.

Don't pass it up!

5 of 5
We stayed here with a group of friends and family to celebrate a birthday - the home is beautiful, plenty of space for everyone to sleep comfortably. Really awesome kitchen, we cooked a ton! A great property to explore, spread out, play games. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a secluded getaway with incredible views. Hosts easy to contact with any questions and would be glad to provide any information you may need while here.
