So fantastic!

5 of 5
This was an absolute charming place to stay! House was very comfortable, well-maintained and just what we wanted. The view from the back porch was stunning at morning and at night. We even got to see some wild turkeys and deer on the property! We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area!

Unbelievably big house with something for everyone.

4 of 5
We just returned from a weekend at the "mansion." We were a group of 27 family members three generations (15 grandkids ages 5-25). Everyone had a great time. The game room was wonderful and we actually ended up dancing under the disco ball on the dance floor. The indoor pool was a huge plus, and all the kids had a blast. The reasons I'm not giving it 5 stars are: there's no central air, and only 4 of the 16 bedrooms have air conditioning; none of the bathrooms upstairs had any towel racks or hooks to hang your towels on; The oversized deck only had one table to seat 6 (and it was rusty) and the deck chairs are those old chalky white plastic ones; there is absolutely no artwork (or photos) of any kind on any wall in the house and the bedrooms didn't have any nightstands or lamps. It really shouldn't be described as a mansion because it isn't. It's just a GIGANTIC house.

Great Long Weekend

5 of 5
What a wonderful cottage on a great lake. My wife and I spent a long weekend here and have fallen in love with this lake and area. We were concerned about how many cottages would be on the lake and how close our neighbors would be to us. Well, the cottages are close together but it didn't seem that way. Our neighbors were very quiet and very friendly. The cottage was perfect for the two of us. It is VERY clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for cooking. The screened in patio is wonderful and we enjoyed cooking on the open grill. The weather was beautiful while we were there, yet the lake was never busy. We enjoyed the kayaks but did not take advantage of the canoe and row boats which we would have if we had a longer stay. The fishing was fantastic. From the dock in front of the house we caught many bass, yellow perch, and sunfish. If you are looking for a place where the fishing is great... this is it. We did a lot of driving in the evenings looking for wildlife. There is a dirt road on the other side of the lake that goes thru the mountains and valleys. The first night we were lucky to spot a black bear in the woods along that road... and we saw many deer in the open areas. Back at the cottage, we saw a bald eagle fly over the lake, and had hummingbirds feeding on plants along the lake. Thanks to Eric for sharing this lovely cottage with us... he is very pleasant and easy to work with.
