Last May we spent a wonderful week in the Lavender Hill Estate. It was a beautiful time to visit due to magnificent greenery all around and just-about- to-bloom lavender bushes, after which the villa is named. The lavender theme is carried throughout the house with lovely dry lavender bundles in unexpected places. The house itself is a very atmospheric old stone house with modern conveniences where it counts (the bathrooms, kitchen fixtures, pool), extremely well and thoughtfully equipped with all that a guest may need to feel pampered and at home. The outside patio area, with decidedly Provençal theme, has a table that can easily sit 12 and a good-size barbeque (important if one would like to entertain day-quests, as we did). The pool area is equipped with tables, chairs and sun loungers. With owners providing an abundance of pool towels it makes reusing the pool throughout the day much easier. Our kids and grandkids were in the water for good portion of each day, even though the water was still a little on a cooler side at this time of the year.
In overall, it was a perfect home from home in a beautiful country location. We had a great experience and are planning to repeat it this year, hopefully in time to admire great autumn foliage. I highly recommend to follow in our steps.
