House is neat and tidy, bright and airy.

We all enjoyed waking up in the morning and running outside to jump in the river before breakfast.  The kids especially enjoyed the diving board.  We took our boat out everyday to go sightseeing around the islands, and fishing and tubing. We went hiking through the forest, saw deer and heard woodpeckers.  We packed snacks and drinks and  enjoyed using the bicycles to explore the whole island.  We barbecued every night. When it got dark we’d make a big fire in the fire pit by the water, and sing and toast marshmallows.  Happy camping memories!

Pleasent long weekend in Clayton

5 of 5
Communication with the property managers was excellent. Very easy people to deal with. The house was spotless and in perfect repair. The pictures do not do it justice as it is very roomy and well laid out. Location to restaurants and shopping is fantastic, easy walking distance. I would highly recommend this to anyone. Our rental agent Jennifer was very pleasent throughout the process. Thanks for a nice stay. Lynn Gorton

Family loved this!

5 of 5
My adult siblings and parents stayed at this home near Clayton several years ago (2011, if my memory serves me correctly, but VRBO wouldn't allow me to use that date). It's an easy boat ride from Clayton and nearly right across the channel from a boat ramp where my husband and I stored our jet skis' trailer for a small fee. We have been camping in the Thousand Islands for several decades and wanted to class it up after so long tenting. The view of the channel can't be beat, and there's plenty of dock space for boats, jet skis, etc. and still enough room to swim off the dock. It was great to be able to warm up by the fire in the evenings. The kitchen was well-stocked with enough pots/utensils for some gourmet cooking each day. The proprietors were wonderful, as well! The island is nice and quiet. My brother, father, and I went for a swim around the island, which was peaceful. Probably the BEST part of the house, though, is the fact that it's on an unsung pike fishing spot. We're all fishers, and the dwindling fishing over the past 15 years has gotten us down quite a bit. We searched high and low-- headed up to Boldt Castle, tried Mary's Island, etc.-- and ended up finding that the best place to catch some decent-sized northerns was right out the front of the house, out about 100 yards and drifting down with the current. Excellent!
