Great Getaway Cabin

5 of 5
This cabin was great. We couldn't have asked for anything more. Mary was very accommodating, trusting and responsive. Just being able to book through Mary is a major plus and eliminated any stress from planning our vacation. The firewood was plentiful, the cabin was clean and just as described, the kitchen ware was in good shape and the bathroom is SO CUTE! While there is no cell service, the landline is reliable and there was even a calling card available to make long distance calls. Despite a few hurdles getting up the cabin (through no fault of Mary's) and having car troubles in Claryville (again, no fault of Mary's) we went away feeling like we had a lovely relaxing time--a bit of feat given the circumstances and definitely because of the charm and ease of the cabin. Thank you so much for the wonderful stay. I definitely recommend the cabin.

Peace and Quiet

5 of 5
My girlfriend and I spent weeks looking for cabins/lodges in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Vermont, and New York that fit our expectations when we came across Wild Cat Mountain Cottage. We wanted seclusion and we got it. It was great to take our two dogs off the leashes and have them run around the property and through all the trails we found. We even drove the short distance to the river where we ate lunch on a sandy beach while our dogs played in the water. The first night we arrived we got the fire going, sat by it every night and just read our books. Very cozy inside and the seclusion outside really makes you feel like your on your own, which made for a perfect getaway. Even snowed on our last day there! The owner is extremely helpful and easy to contact for any questions.

Tranquil weekend getaway

5 of 5
A very tranquil location on the top of the hill in the Catskills. The cabin was cozy with a large front porch overlooking the a beautiful country garden. The pine wooded bedroom was warm and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped including cooking spices and seasoning for a country meal. We enjoyed watching our greyhound Jenny run around the fern garden till she's happy and then come up to sit with us on the porch. Bill and Mary was generous to share their vegetable garden with us. We had a fresh out of the garden delicious heirloom tomatoes and basil salad with our dinner one night. They also gave recommendations for nearby hikes. We had a great weekend overall and would recommend the cabin for a couple or two for a tranquil country weekend.
