This is a lovely, beautifully maintained property. Tucked away in a dense forest, with no other houses in sight, it feels secluded and private. This forest, by the way, is wonderful. It's home to a nice variety of birds and other wildlife, and the vivid intensity of the autumn foliage, at its peak during our stay, is absolutely breathtaking. Inside, the cabin is spacious, with very high ceilings and windows all around. It's comfortably furnished, but open and uncluttered, with a wood burning stove to keep things warm and cozy. The kitchen is stocked with basic utensils and was adequate for our modest needs. In fact everything about the place suited us perfectly. My wife and I came up New York for two nights to visit with our son, who goes to school in nearby Oneonta. We had a great time, both in the cabin and out exploring the lovely surrounding area. I hope we can return in the near future.
