Amazing and relaxing!

5 of 5
First of all, I don't think the pictures posted on Homeaway do the house justice. The bedrooms were all cozy, clean, and comfortable. The living with the fireplace on the main floor in combination with the open kitchen provided a perfect hang out spot for the entire group to interact. The kitchen was fully equipped with modern appliances for any savvy chefs to do their thing (we had a few). Lastly, although there were some water pressure issues, we completely overlooked the problem because the house manager Micky was absolutely impeccable. Our group has rented many houses in the past but never had we worked with an owner/manager as amiable, thoughtful, efficient, and accommodating as Micky. We were even presented with fruits and wine as compliments upon arrival! All in all, this is a 3.5-4 star house that we feel deserves a 5 star rating due to superior management.

Year after year, consistently high quality

5 of 5
We started renting from Robert, the property owner, 4 years ago. Why do we return each year? 1st, he has put together great looking living spaces. 2nd, his properties are top notch in quality. And 3rd, every single person in our large group of family and friends, over these multiple years of renting, has enjoyed their experiences in his spaces!

Had a great time over New Years!

5 of 5
We have a tradition of getting together with a large group of friends (~15 people) over New Years, and this year we wanted to stay in the northeast. We came across Robert's cabin and it looked like a good combination of value and amenities so we booked it. We had a great time. The house is spacious, and the common areas are open which made hanging out with everyone easy and fun. We had one little traveler with us (7 months old) and the house came equipped with both a portable crib and a high chair. There were plenty of linens, towel, blankets etc and the kitchen was also well equipped. The property was gorgeous even in the winter, though I can see how it would be even more fabulous in the summer when it's warm enough to run around the yard and take a dip in the lake. If you want to venture off the property, there are tons of things to do within an hour (wineries, distilleries, Saugerties Lighthouse, and Hyde Park). We had a great dinner at Crossroads Brewing Company in Athens (a five minute drive from the house). Robert was a pleasure to deal with - very helpful and responsive!
