SPACIOUS, QUIET, GREAT RETREAT FROM CITY LIFE

4 of 5
We came here for a July 4th getaway and loved the secluded nature of the estate. There was plenty of room for the 6 of us and everything was clean and ready for our use upon arrival. We loved the heated pool, especially since it was colder on this July 4th weekend than it has been in the past. It actually was almost as warm as a sauna at some points and was the perfect way to end the day while staring at the stars. During the chilly nights, steam would rise from the pool as it came into contact with the cool air and with a color-changing orb at the end of the pool, it provided a very picturesque experience. We also made good use of the fire pit but unfortunately the new grill wasn't working properly. Some of the technology was a bit old for our liking. There was also no wi-fi or cell service but this actually turned out for the better since it really reinforced the secluded nature of the place and encouraged us city-slickers to focus more on nature and ourselves rather than our technology. The provided board games and VHS tapes were nostalgic and provided a good way to bond and reminiscence. There were plenty of utensils, plates/pots/pans, blankets, etc. for our use. However, it did seem like only the downstairs main AC unit was working and the central air did not function which may mean the house will get warm on hotter days. There were a number of smaller fans we found which sufficed given the cooler temperatures during our trip. Overall, a very enjoyable and rustic experience with a few minor things to nitpick at but not enough to diminish the amount of fun we had. Highly recommend to all looking for a similar experience!

GREAT PROPERTY, GREAT SERVICE

4 of 5
The house is beautiful and just as described. We had a great stay. Judy - the property manager was always available for any questions or issues related to the house. She provided us top-notch service! We have rented many houses since we travel with our toddler and I have to say this may be the most well-stocked home we have stayed in. All the basic stuff you could need is available in the kitchen. Overall, just a wonderful and peaceful stay. We hope to be back!

AMAZING!

5 of 5
We had an amazing time at The Barn on the Pond! From the start Tripp, the owner, and Fia were beyond helpful and accommodating. The house is beautiful and so comfortable with a wonderful great room that was perfect for group dinners. The kitchen is by far the best kitchen I have ever worked in. It was very snowy when we were there, but we would love to return when we could enjoy the beautiful property. All in all, highly recommended!
