Very convenient to mountain, spacious condo

4 of 5
We and 2 of our kids stayed at the property over President's Weekend. It was very spacious, comfortable and convenient. Almost everything we needed was provided in the kitchen and bedrooms. Overall, Kevin and Jamie were very responsive owners and the condo was lovely. We were stuck inside a lot (one of the kids was sick, plus is was unbearably cold on Sunday), but we had lots of games to play -- cards, chess and other board games -- which were plentiful, excellent Wifi throughout the condo, and a flat-screen TV with DVD player. My 10 year-old especially loved the chess table on the 2nd floor, which motivated him to learn how to play chess. We did have some problems that were mostly later resolved. The weather was extremely frigid and windy, even for the Catskills, and the pipes in the master bath shower/tub were frozen when we arrived, and the fireplace did not work when we got there. The condo was very cold downstairs (lower 60's), but extremely warm upstairs (upper 70's). We called the owners about the problems when we arrived, and they had someone come first thing in the morning to fix the fireplace and give us advice on regulating the temperature differential upstairs vs downstairs (ie closing the upstairs vents), which helped a lot. He also turned on the tub, which miraculously worked for him, but it stopped working again once it got very cold that night and did not run for the rest of our stay. We just used the other shower, and all the other sinks and water sources worked fine. The bottom step of the condo outside was loose when we arrived, and finally fell off, which made navigating the outside stairs precarious with all the snow. Finally, the closest lift to the condo was not running, and because of all the snow, we could not access the bridge that went to the nearest trail, so it was definitely not a "ski-on/ski-off" situation for us. We had to drive over to the main lodge and park with everyone else to go skiing; a 2-minute drive, but not what we expected. My overall rating for this place is still very high, because I felt that most of the problems were beyond the owners' control, and were not typical, and our stay was very pleasant and comfortable once we got the kinks worked out.

INCREDIDIBLE !!!

5 of 5
We were seeking a location that could accommodate family members from Rhode Island, Long Island and Massachusetts We were all amazed with this place. Right from the beginning, it was great to know that I had direct contact with the owner. He addressed all my questions immediately and was very accommodating. We typically vacation near the beach in the summer time, but so glad we found this place in the Catskills. As soon as you walk in, you will be amazed with the overall size and attention to EVERY detail. There was plenty of room for alls kids and adults to interact and have fun. The master bedrooms are incredible. The bunk bed rooms were incredibly comfortable. All rooms have DVD players and flat screen televisions. Plenty of shower space and bathrooms. It was a great place where everyone could be under 'one roof', I'd recommend this place to anyone seeking a great summer get away. Its a 40 minute drive from the NY Thruway and close to some great golf. We also enjoyed access to the pool, restaurant and spa at the Kaatskill Mountain Club. Its always tough to book a place online by just looking at photos. If you are looking into this place, JUST BOOK IT. You will be hard pressed to find a better value anywhere. I know I will return with my family in the near future. A great family vacation spot !!
