Pastoral

4 of 5
We stayed at the farm for a week with 2 doodle doggies. Although there was a strong sulfur smell in the hot water, the owner addressed it right after I called and it was resolved in under an hour. Another review mentions the electric fence. We simply went under or over it and walked all over the pasture lands. We got some fun pictures of the cows as well. We can assure you they were there because they bellowed a few times during the nights. The mowed areas were really lovely as was the lengthy porch. We simply put a tablecloth and flowers on the outside table and dined like kings and queens each evening. Very fun!

Keeps getting better!

5 of 5
This is our third year renting this house and it only gets better. We have known the hosts, Ken and Anne, for years now and they are still as considerate and conscientious as they were the first time we rented. Their home is warm and inviting, always clean, and very well laid out for two families with two kids each. There are three ample bedrooms, a huge downstairs, and lots of room outside. We can't recommend this rental highly enough! If you want a nice retreat from the urban thrall, definitely consider this cozy home upstate.

Great Vacation

5 of 5
My husband and I recently stayed in this home for 4 nights. The house is beautiful, very large and clean, filled with beautiful antiques and original artwork. It was just the two of us, but we could envision the house as being very comfortable for a large family or a few friends getting together. We greatly enjoyed relaxing on the very private deck and swimming in the pool. There is also a large hot tub on the deck, but as we were lucky to have beautiful swimming weather during our stay, we stuck with the swimming pool. The house also has a front porch that also is very private as the house is set on a very large, well maintained property up a long driveway from the road. We enjoyed watching the visiting deer on the property and listening to the chirping birds. I must admit that we were initially nervous about renting the home after reading the last review, although we were comforted by the fact that all the other reviews were very positive. We would now like to add our positive report to those others. The owner was very pleasant to deal with, and flexible in regards to some requests that we had. The owner also has taken the time to print up detailed information regarding the closest groceries and supermarkets as well as nearby sights and local attractions which is very helpful. There are also many pamphlets in the home about the local attractions. We also want to report that we did not have a problem receiving back our full security in a timely manner. We look forward to hopefully returning to the home for another vacation.
