EVERYTHING AND MORE !!!!

5 of 5
It was exactly as promised, we had everything we needed for our stay! The area is beautiful and so quiet, we came in late one night and we never one felt unsafe at all! The people in the area are super friendly, True was a great host, very helpful with lots of info and great suggestions! You must eat at Peaches... One of the best places I've ever ate at ! Most definitely would stay here again when I come back I loved the area and True was great to deal with !!! Thank you !!!

EXCELLENT

5 of 5
This is a cool, very-good-value apartment in Lefferts Gardens which is well situated for exploring Brooklyn and NYC. The neighbourhood is friendly and for the time being, relatively hipster-free. That said, the local Wholesome Foods market is a bonus, groceries-wise, and the trendier shops and restaurants of Park Slope, on the opposite side of Prospect Park, are a mere subway stop away. The park itself, a haven for joggers and cyclists, is five minutes' walk away and hosts a farmers' market on Saturdays. There's really no reason to stay in Manhattan. Sylvia and André were perfect hosts, attentive/available yet relaxed. You'll feel like you have your own place. The apartment itself was as advertised - the hosts' painting and photography is a nice touch. The TV does show some local channels, but no cable, while the Wi-Fi worked perfectly. Large, functional kitchen. Sleigh bed in spare room sleeps 6'2" comfortably. One could say that the apartment is a little frayed around the edges - paintwork, etc - but that's also part of its charm, and it was clean everywhere it needed to be, especially bathroom. Our only (minor) criticism is that the ceilings/walls aren't very well insulated against noise, however this isn't a complaint against the hosts/neighbours, who were conscientious at night and in the morning. In other words we got our sleep. We'd definitely go back!

PERFECT RETREAT FOR NYC VISIT!

5 of 5
Stepping into the comfort of this peaceful, cozy haven, you cannot believe that you are still in one of the most energetic cities in this world. When you land here, you will not feel like someone lost in a crowd but rather a person visiting family. This temporary home is not only pleasingly decorated but also completely equipped for easy living. Having a complete kitchen and dining area allowed us to prepare meals or pick up a take-out meal from one of the many eateries on Smith Street. This area has quickly become one of my favorites--excellent restaurants in all price ranges and culinary categories, unique retail stores, and safe family neighborhood. The owners have provided everything a traveler may need for a stay in the apartment and excellent information for activities, transportation, and eating outside of their wonderful cocoon. I have enthusiastically recommended this apartment to several people. I must admit, I am worried it will become so popular that I will not be able to stay there on my next visit! One month after this visit, we were back in town and had reserved a hotel close to our daughter's apartment for convenience. After a sleepless night in my expensive hotel room, I contacted Lee and begged to stay in her apartment. Although this particular one was not available, she was able to accommodate me in another. The location actually was very convenient because of the transportation options. Needless to say, I will not repeat the mistake!
