Wonderful Location, Great Place for big families!!

5 of 5
This was my first time using Homeaway or any time of home rental. I was very nervous about this since I was coming from Texas and would be a long way from home. After convincing myself to rent this apt and after speaking True over the phone, my worries were over with. Once I arrived with my family True welcomed us to his home with Anything and EVERYTHING we needed while we were there. It very clean and spaciousness for the 7 people we had. True even offered us an air mattress for my son which was very helpful. The neighborhood was is very nice and quite, even at night, very peaceful. Parking was not an issue like he had mentioned (Drove from Texas to NYC). He also gave us very detailed information about the subways and which ones to take for faster arrivals even some local Brooklyn sites to enjoy. When returning from a long day of site seeing in NYC in late hrs of the night were not as scary as I had imagined. Again, very peaceful and nothing to worry about when walking around 11/12am from the subway back to Macon Manor. Overall I was very pleased with my stay here. My family was very comfortable, I never had to call True once for anything which made my stay a better and nicer. I will be diffidently be staying here again during my next trip (but with-out my 4 kids lol).

Great Time at Macon Manor!

5 of 5
Everything was exactly as it appeared on the listing. Me, my mother, my 16 year old niece, and my 7 year old daughter had a great 3 night stay. The apartment was very spacious, not at all what we expected for Brooklyn. The owner, True had it stocked with everything we needed including plenty of linens, toilet paper, paper towels, coffee, etc. The neighborhood was friendly and pleasant. My niece and I walked the 4 blocks from the subway station at 11PM and did not have any problems. We were very nervous about parking since we had never driven to the city. When I expressed my concern to True, he told me if there was not a spot he would personally find me a spot, which is certainly above and beyond what we expected. It wasn't necessary, there was plenty of street parking. We had a great time and would recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in Brooklyn.

Perfect Retreat for NYC Visit!

5 of 5
Stepping into the comfort of this peaceful, cozy haven, you cannot believe that you are still in one of the most energetic cities in this world. When you land here, you will not feel like someone lost in a crowd but rather a person visiting family. This temporary home is not only pleasingly decorated but also completely equipped for easy living. Having a complete kitchen and dining area allowed us to prepare meals or pick up a take-out meal from one of the many eateries on Smith Street. This area has quickly become one of my favorites--excellent restaurants in all price ranges and culinary categories, unique retail stores, and safe family neighborhood. The owners have provided everything a traveler may need for a stay in the apartment and excellent information for activities, transportation, and eating outside of their wonderful cocoon. I have enthusiastically recommended this apartment to several people. I must admit, I am worried it will become so popular that I will not be able to stay there on my next visit! One month after this visit, we were back in town and had reserved a hotel close to our daughter's apartment for convenience. After a sleepless night in my expensive hotel room, I contacted Lee and begged to stay in her apartment. Although this particular one was not available, she was able to accommodate me in another. The location actually was very convenient because of the transportation options. Needless to say, I will not repeat the mistake!
