Cozy, inviting and a great location!

5 of 5
What an amazing feeling to have a home away from home! Nestled in the heart of Brooklyn's Chinatown & Latino neighborhoods, this apartment is within walking distance to many grocery stores, restaurants and 3 subway stations (D, N & R lines). Be sure to remember that part of the NYC experience is the walking. The closest subway was 4 blocks down the hill, which really isn't far, but still, wear comfy shoes! Our first night there, my hubby and I walked down the block and got everything we needed to cook our family a fresh warm dinner so our travel-soar kids didn't even have to venture out! Thanks to the well-stocked kitchen and grocery stores, we also had the luxury of cooking a hearty breakfast for our kids each morning before heading out for a day of sightseeing. There are TONS of asian and hispanic restaurants that we could easily have just ordered in every night!!!! The apartment is also a block away from Sunset Park so we didn't totally feel like we were in the "big city." Street parking is free, but just be sure you pay attention to the street cleaning days and give yourself time to troll down the streets for an available spot. We parked in front of the park our 1st night and then found an open spot in front of the house the next morning. Elise was such a gracious and accommodating host. She was there to welcome us and made sure we well settled in nicely. I loved that she had a folder of local restaurants, maps and convenient travel books that really helped our family get around. My hubby and I particularly appreciated that there wasn't a TV in the apartment so we ended up spending a lot more talking and hanging out time with the kids since there wasn't a tele to distract them. Great bonding time over a puzzle that Elise had handy. finally, our family has gained a new friend and for that we are grateful.

Home away from home

5 of 5
This is a truly ideal and affordable option for travelers looking for a deluxe home away from home. Lots of space and light, beautifully finished and a safe walk to convenient subway connections for trips into Manhattan. The property manager Elito couldn't be more welcoming or helpful. He's an outstanding Brooklyn ambassador! p.s. Make sure you stop at Dough on your way to the subway for Brooklyn's best doughnuts and coffee!

Great place to stay in Brooklyn

4 of 5
Very comfortable place, extremely clean, safe. Not far from nice restaurants. Owner very helpful. Nice to have a bottle of wine upon arrival. 15 min walk from subway. For those like me who like to cook occasionnally: need some more tools in the kitchen
