Recent Brooklyn Reviews

comfort and convenience

5 of 5
thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to NYC, by staying in this Brooklyn gem! bed and couch comfortable and pictures exactly represent the apt. Also enjoyed sitting out in the back garden area after long days of sight-seeing. Everything was clean and really appreciated the tips from Jackie and Anna, as well as the welcome fruit and cheese tray. VERY convenient to subway and 15 min trip into Manhattan. Recommend if not subway savvy, to carefully look over the maps and develop understanding of express vs local trains. We got sidetracked a couple times not realizing this difference. Key Foods just 1/4 mile away very convenient for simple groceries, which were easy to prepare in the well appointed kitchen. Highly recommend exploring Brooklyn. Sunset park 1/4 mile away with lovely view of sunset, Manhattan and lady Liberty. Check out Brooklyn promenade for amazing Manhattan views, as well as eating at Grimaldi's pizza and the ice cream shop just down from there. We also enjoyed the Brooklyn Botanical gardens, which is free on Tuesday, and Prospect Park. Check out Greenwood Cemetery for peaceful walking and viewing and be sure to pick up bagels and sweets from Baked in Brooklyn across the street. Coney Island is also a fun choice to walk the boardwalk, enjoy a Nathans hot dog and explore the Atlantic coast. This choice for a NYC stay is convenient to Manhattan, yet opens your eyes to the sights and sounds of Brooklyn and other areas of NYC

Home away from Home

5 of 5
My family of 7 and I stayed on the top floor of the "Brooklyn Mansion". It was absolutely perfect for our needs. When we arrived we were thrilled with how incredibly clean and modern everything was. I sent a little text to Matthew shortly after we arrived to see if we could use a blow up mattress. He brought it to us in less than five minutes. He was such a friendly, wonderful young man and offered good tips on where to catch the subway, places to eat in the area, etc. The master bed was super comfortable. Just before leaving for vacation I remember saying to my husband, "I'm going to miss our bed, we probably won't sleep well until we return home." Boy was I wrong! The bed we had at the Brooklyn Mansion was incredibly comfortable! I was so grateful for that because we went ALL OVER the city during our trip and would return at the end of the day exhausted. It was so nice to have a comfortable, clean bed to sleep in at the end of the night. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you could need: plenty of dishes and silverware, coffee maker, stove-top, microwave, full size refrigerator, a table that fit all of us, a bar top with 4 stools and a second table in a little cubby that the kids often sat down at to play games. The living room was comfortable and spacious. I had two kids sleep on the pull out sofa in the living room, which was extremely comfortable, my little guy slept on the blow up mattress on the other side of the living room - plenty of room for all. My other two kids slept on the round bed in the "yellow & blue room" as I called it, and they loved it. We had plenty of room - everywhere. No one was cramped and we weren't tripping all over each other or each other's things. It felt more like a real home than a temporary spot....which we so appreciated. I highly recommend the Brooklyn Mansion and would stay again if we ever find ourselves back in the area.

Newly remodeled apartment in Park Slope

4 of 5
Our family of 5 really enjoyed our stay in this 2 bedroom apartment close to dining, shopping and the subway. We had plenty room for our three kids. The unit was clean, well appointed and priced right for our family. The owners were nice and worked with us to get accommodate our early arrival and late departure. We would stay here again.
