Family spent our first trip to NYC in this place. Very quiet neighborhood and very roomy for this area! Noise from family in apartment below carries to master bedroom late into night, but compared to noise of staying in Manhattan or farther in Brooklyn, this was nothing! There was no TV/video player/fire place in Master bedroom as stated in ad, nor was there a sleeper sofa/futon in the living room. In fact, the couch in living room separates into 3 different pieces w/the slightest movement so wouldn't recommend anyone sleep on it. This place only comfortably sleeps 6, not 10 as stated. We had 7 travelers but one was a young child so was comfortable on the air mattress we brought in the master bedroom. The washer/dryer is a combined unit. If staying for an extended period and need to use this, count on it taking a LONG time. We did one load - wash time was 1 1/2 hours and after 3 hours on dry cycle (regular dry cycle is 2 hours then touch up cycle is 1 hour), clothes still weren't completely dry.
If using for travel into Manhattan, there is a bus w/i a block, but it only runs till 8pm. The main street by the house (Gerristen) runs into Nostrand Ave and there is a great secure parking garage about 10-20 minutes from house which is at the Target. The Flatbush/Nostrand subway is less than a block from this parking garage and was a great place to leave vehicle w/o worrying about it being left on the streets or worrying about getting back in time for a bus. NYC Subway is a great app for your phone also to help w/the subway system and has a route planner!!
We would definitely stay here again if we made this trip again!!
