We are a couple in our early 60s who needed somewhere to stay when visiting our daughter and new grandchild who live in Park Slope. This apartment was all that we expected, with a well furnished living room, separate bedroom with a very comfortable double bed, well-equipped kitchen and efficient bathroom. It provided us with a restful, private retreat during our two week stay. It has a great location, just across the road from the subway and close to Prospect Park. The apartment is at the back of the building and its windows look out on a beautiful tree. Although the pipes creaked at times, we found it a quiet, peaceful place. On the streetside, It is a very short walk to a range of shops, including grocery stores, wine shops, and a pharmacy. There are also many restaurants and cafes. The apartment was clean and well-maintained, with a good supply of linen and towels. It is up three flights of stairs which did not bother us but which could be a challenge for some people. The very friendly manager met us on arrival and her warm welcome quickly made us feel at home. During our stay she was very quick to respond to a couple of text queries. This was my fourth visit to New York and, thanks to Mimi and her apartment, this was the first time that i felt really at home. We definitely plan to use it again for future visits to our family and will be recommending it to others. Apart from our family, the greatest attractions in the neighborhood are the amazing Prospect Park, and its Botanic Gardens, and the wonderful Brooklyn Museum.

We felt very comfortable in the apartment and it is so much better than staying at a hotel in hectic Manhattan. We are a family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers and the apartment was perfect for us. The apartment has all amenities that you need and everything functions well. The fridge is even big enough for a family and it's nice (sometimes also less complicated and surely less expensive) to be able to cook own meals when you are on vacation so you don't always have to eat in the restaurants. A lot of grocery stoors are within walking distance, organic seems to be very trendy and expensive in this neighborhood. The owner lives in the same house and is really nice and helpful! I would definately want to stay here again!

Although the building doesn't look promising, and the stairs are dark, steep and narrow, arriving on the second floor this apartment is a wonderful light-filled surprise. The photos shown are accurate as long as you know they were taken with a wide-angle lens so the rooms although nice sized, aren't huge. The furniture is comfortable, especially the bed. There are plenty of reading lights, although only one on the left side of the bed. Kitchen is well equipped and there are shops within a short distance that will provide most necessities. There are two air conditioners, one in the bedroom and one in the living room, both are window models. Both are rather loud and I found sleeping with the bedroom one on was difficult, although it was too hot during my stay to sleep with it off. The owner is easy to deal with; friendly, helpful and courteous. Everything was as described and I enjoyed my stay. I recommend this property for an enjoyable stay in Brooklyn.
