We are a couple in our early 60s who needed somewhere to stay when visiting our daughter and new grandchild who live in Park Slope.
This apartment was all that we expected, with a well furnished living room, separate bedroom with a very comfortable double bed, well-equipped kitchen and efficient bathroom. It provided us with a restful, private retreat during our two week stay.
It has a great location, just across the road from the subway and close to Prospect Park. The apartment is at the back of the building and its windows look out on a beautiful tree. Although the pipes creaked at times, we found it a quiet, peaceful place.
On the streetside, It is a very short walk to a range of shops, including grocery stores, wine shops, and a pharmacy. There are also many restaurants and cafes.
The apartment was clean and well-maintained, with a good supply of linen and towels. It is up three flights of stairs which did not bother us but which could be a challenge for some people.
The very friendly manager met us on arrival and her warm welcome quickly made us feel at home. During our stay she was very quick to respond to a couple of text queries.
This was my fourth visit to New York and, thanks to Mimi and her apartment, this was the first time that i felt really at home. We definitely plan to use it again for future visits to our family and will be recommending it to others.
Apart from our family, the greatest attractions in the neighborhood are the amazing Prospect Park, and its Botanic Gardens, and the wonderful Brooklyn Museum.
