If you are planning a visit to New York City, I highly recommend that you rent Tom and Marina’s home in the Bronx. It is in a charming neighborhood with a CVS, local bakery, produce stand and so much more right outside of your doorstep.
Every local that we talked with confirmed that we were staying in a very safe neighborhood. It is extremely close to the Bronx Zoo and the Botanical Gardens that are some of the nicest I have visited. If you want to see any of central NYC’s museums or attractions you need only catch the #6 train right up the street. This single train will take you all the way to Central Park and Grand Central.
The home is well stocked with everything that you will need during your stay including spices, extra bedding, cooking utensils, etc. The heat in the house works very well and, if you are like me, you will find yourself having to turn it down frequently.
Tom and Marina are two of the nicest people that you will ever have the pleasure of meeting. Marina is so nice that she offered to pick me up from the airport and babysit my daughter if my wife and I wanted to go out for a date night. We were fortunate enough to stay for the month of November right as the leaves were falling from the trees. Tom frequently raked the yard as well as the street for us. As long as this home is available, there is no other place that I will look to stay if I return to New York City.
