A relaxing weekend in a beautiful home!!

5 of 5
This home is a perfect escape, located steps away from beautiful Robinson Pond, and about 20 miles from Great Barrington, MA in the Berkshires. The kitchen and bathroom are brand new and so pretty - kitchen is fully-equipped with everything you could possibly need. The large open kitchen/dining/living area is so comfortable and perfectly decorated. The place was spotless and the owners clearly went out of their way to provide all the comforts of home including fresh, soft bedding and towels, games and a great sound system for our iPod. We went with another couple and had a great time watching Netflix shows on the Roku system, sat by the pond in the evening around the firepit, and spent the day in Great Barrington and Lenox, Mass. Both are great towns for shopping and eating - we loved Gypsy Joynt for lunch - a very unique place with a huge delicious menu! Breakfast and lunch at Dad's Copake Diner just 5 minutes away from the house was also really good - a cute 50's themed diner. The house is so nice and comfy that it was tempting to just stay inside and chill, but we were so glad to have explored these towns and get to know the Berkshires a bit. We highly recommend this house for two couples or a family - room for two in each bedroom plus a sleeper in the living room. We will definitely be back for a repeat visit!!

Only wish we could have stayed and relaxed longer!

5 of 5
Some friends and I spent a long weekend at this cabin to get away from the hustle and bustle of NYC. We prepared for a weekend of rain (the house has a ton of board games!) but ended up getting lucky and getting a sunny and hot weekend! The house was wonderful and equipped with everything we needed; towels, linens, kitchen stuff, etc. The decor was nothing special, but perfectly functional, and the redone kitchen is absolutely lovely! The view of the lake from the house is phenomenal! It felt like we had practically a 180 degree view in front of us at all times. We spent most of our time out on the deck and docks, and enjoyed walking around the neighborhood in the evening. We fell in love with the Oakhurst diner in nearby Millerton and ended up having breakfast there when we weren’t making it at the house. Millerton also has a ton of great antique shops and other little stores. We also spent an afternoon hiking at Bash Bish Falls, which is beautiful waterfall only a short car ride/hike away. My friends also used the kayak one afternoon which they absolutely loved! At night we built campfires in the house's fire pit and roasted marshmallows and told ghost stories. My one note to avid lake swimmers such as myself, is that it’s a good idea to bring a floatie if you plan on swimming. The water is a little mucky right next to the dock, so it was nice to be able to float out a bit beyond the dock without having to swim through the muck. The public beach is right across the way, so it was also fun to be able to swim over in the warm and refreshing water and lay on the floating raft there. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and only wish we could have stayed longer! It was quiet, clean, beautiful, and relaxing… everything we wanted. My friends and I spoke the day after we got back and agreed that our bodies may be back in the city, but our minds are still back on lovely Robinson Pond in Copake.
