Perfect for a family vacation

5 of 5
We had such a great fall weekend at Robert's house! Robert takes pride in keeping his properties well maintained and enjoys sharing his homes with other families. He was a pleasure to work with and we'll definitely be renting from him again next year! We had a group of 9 adults and 5 kids and there was still room to sleep more! There's lots of sleeping room, a huge yard for kids to run and play, outdoor activities like kayaking and canoeing and an awesome fire pit for roasting marshmallows. There is a beautiful view of the lake from the large deck, where there is plenty of room for everyone to sit. We were there in the fall, so the colors were gorgeous! The main room inside the house has a cozy fire place and high ceilings. There's lots of space to hang out, cook, eat and play games. All the kids loved hanging out on the bottom floor where the air hockey, ping pong and video games were. It was perfect for the adults! The house is in a great location. You have so much privacy while you're on Roberts property, yet when you leave you realize you're not in the middle of no where. The house is in a great neighborhood with lots of other lake homes. If you go during the fall, there are Apple farms near by for apple/pumpkin picking. Also, there are markets and restaurants only a short drive away. This house is truly a gem and the perfect place for a family vacation. I've searched around and this is the best house for a super affordable price. Thank you Robert! We'll see you next year! Enjoyable short vacation

4 of 5
The house was cozy and well maintained. It is quite a large house with atleast 4 good bedrooms. The location is scenic, serene and lovely. The kitchen was very well equipped. There is not much by way of restaurants around the area, so it was good to have a working kitchen. There is beach access from the property and that was a good bonus. The beach has a small playground for kids as well. The owners are very prompt at answering queries and are helpful. They were also receptive to our suggestions for improvement and we hear that some of the amenities in the house, like flooring, have been updated since our stay.

Wonderful Fall Weekend

5 of 5
My family and I found this home and from all the beautiful pictures we decided to reserve for Columbus Day weekend. Every picture was true to what the actual house looked like. From the welcome basket left filled with wine, marshmellows and chocolate as well as everything for the lake ready and waiting to be used. Fishing poles, canoe, kayak, firepit, and even two bicycles with helmets ready to go! The house was clean and plenty of blankets and towels. The indoor gas fireplace was wonderful to sit in front of while playing a board game, which there is one for all ages and interests. We had beautiful weather and enjoyed the dock with a lot of fishing, as well as many trips on the lake in canoe. We ventured out to Woodstock one day about a half hour away, along with Hunter Mountain to check out an Oktoberfest, but we all couldn't wait to get back to the house to fish and roast marshmellows after dinner and then settle down to watch a movie on a huge screen! Along with plenty of movies to choose from, our kids found Play Station, gaming system we do not have, and now is a MUST! We brought our two labradors and walked around Sleepy Hollow quite a bit and met a few neighbors who were all very nice. As you can tell, I cannot say enough about what a wonderful weekend we all had as well as how much we loved this house. Diane and Niles have made their home very comfortable and inviting for guests. We cannot wait to stay again....
