We have a tradition of getting together with a large group of friends (~15 people) over New Years, and this year we wanted to stay in the northeast. We came across Robert's cabin and it looked like a good combination of value and amenities so we booked it.
We had a great time. The house is spacious, and the common areas are open which made hanging out with everyone easy and fun. We had one little traveler with us (7 months old) and the house came equipped with both a portable crib and a high chair. There were plenty of linens, towel, blankets etc and the kitchen was also well equipped.
The property was gorgeous even in the winter, though I can see how it would be even more fabulous in the summer when it's warm enough to run around the yard and take a dip in the lake. If you want to venture off the property, there are tons of things to do within an hour (wineries, distilleries, Saugerties Lighthouse, and Hyde Park). We had a great dinner at Crossroads Brewing Company in Athens (a five minute drive from the house).
Robert was a pleasure to deal with - very helpful and responsive!
