Beautiful property, lovely secluded location

5 of 5
I cannot say enough good things about this property. The house was immaculate upon arrival, and the house itself was absolutely stunning. The pictures really don't do it justice, especially the main loft area, where my friends and I spent most of our time hanging out and catching up. There are high arching ceilings and the loft room itself is massive, an aspect of which which you cannot see well in the photos. The property location is absolutely ideal for a weekend getaway; you are completely one with nature, and can see nothing but the stars in the sky (which are phenomenal, since you are so far from the city lights) and the rolling hills of the Catskills. I had an amazing time at this location, and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a weekend to catch up with loved ones in a beautiful home.

Cheap, Cozy, and Friendly

5 of 5
This is by far the most friendliest, easy going, host that I have ever stayed with. He was very understanding about our time delays. Once we arrived to the house, he went above and beyond the standard protocol of hosting a guest by also supplying us with a few groceries. The house itself, provided the perfect getaway for us to relax and enjoy the weekend that is extremely affordable.

It was a wonderful stay!

5 of 5
We had the pleasure of staying for an extended period of time in this house in the Andes. Words cannot describe the serenity and beauty of this location. It offers a more "City like" experience as it is located in the few blocks that make up the "city", as well as a very scenic location with a brook bubbling right through the backyard. From the very beginning, even before we arrived, the owner of this house reached out to us and went above and beyond herself to welcome us and to offer to us any assistance that we may need. The house is in pristine condition with all of the amenities one can want, even a washer and dryer! There are 3 comfortable bedrooms and 2 full baths. One can see the care and concern the owner has for her property, and it is something guests should have in mind when they rent it and likewise, guests should return her property in the condition that it was found in. This rental is an upstairs of a house, with the back porch literally within the foliage of the trees. I was pleasantly surprised to see less insects and mosquitoes compared to Brooklyn. The Hamlet of Andes offers antique shops and farms, with all the neighboring people who are kind and polite. The one thing that I had a hard time getting used to is having deer run across the streets when driving these roads in broad daylight. I would recommend tick repellent to those who are coming who may be playing/hanging out in grassy areas here. I would return to rent this location if the opportunity arises.
