Amazing Location in beautiful place

4 of 5
Overall we really enjoyed our stay. Johan was amazingly kind and gave us tons of tips about the area. He really was the best host and was super helpful with everything. The house is located in a beautiful place surrounded by nature and very near by Andes Town. It is great place for trekking and kayaking. It is the best place to relax. Be aware that there is no cel connection in the whole area so you really disconnect of everything (I loved it). The house is from 1850 so you should not expect to arrive to a brand new house. Furniture is antique so the house has that smell that reminds me to my grandmother's house but is not bad, is just is not new. This did not bother me or any of my friends. Pictures and description of the rooms is exactly as it is. One of the best things of the house is the kitchen, is fully renovated and is beautiful, so if you like cooking you would love it. I just took one star because my friends loved grilling and the grill was kind of rustic, not the typical grill you would imagine.

It was a wonderful stay!

We had the pleasure of staying for an extended period of time in this house in the Andes. Words cannot describe the serenity and beauty of this location. It offers a more "City like" experience as it is located in the few blocks that make up the "city", as well as a very scenic location with a brook bubbling right through the backyard. From the very beginning, even before we arrived, the owner of this house reached out to us and went above and beyond herself to welcome us and to offer to us any assistance that we may need. The house is in pristine condition with all of the amenities one can want, even a washer and dryer! There are 3 comfortable bedrooms and 2 full baths. One can see the care and concern the owner has for her property, and it is something guests should have in mind when they rent it and likewise, guests should return her property in the condition that it was found in. This rental is an upstairs of a house, with the back porch literally within the foliage of the trees. I was pleasantly surprised to see less insects and mosquitoes compared to Brooklyn. The Hamlet of Andes offers antique shops and farms, with all the neighboring people who are kind and polite. The one thing that I had a hard time getting used to is having deer run across the streets when driving these roads in broad daylight. I would recommend tick repellent to those who are coming who may be playing/hanging out in grassy areas here. I would return to rent this location if the opportunity arises.
