Great stay for our family get together

5 of 5
We loved this charming home! It was a great stay for those who want peace and privacy but still remain close to shopping and local activities. The owners left us with plenty of magazines and literature about the surrounding area and things to do. The house was very clean and the property had great decor. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking and baking. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the back deck and the mountain view was fantastic! Hummingbirds came to visit and a family of deer grazed in the backyard. A great stay and we plan on coming back!

It was a wonderful stay!

We had the pleasure of staying for an extended period of time in this house in the Andes. Words cannot describe the serenity and beauty of this location. It offers a more "City like" experience as it is located in the few blocks that make up the "city", as well as a very scenic location with a brook bubbling right through the backyard. From the very beginning, even before we arrived, the owner of this house reached out to us and went above and beyond herself to welcome us and to offer to us any assistance that we may need. The house is in pristine condition with all of the amenities one can want, even a washer and dryer! There are 3 comfortable bedrooms and 2 full baths. One can see the care and concern the owner has for her property, and it is something guests should have in mind when they rent it and likewise, guests should return her property in the condition that it was found in. This rental is an upstairs of a house, with the back porch literally within the foliage of the trees. I was pleasantly surprised to see less insects and mosquitoes compared to Brooklyn. The Hamlet of Andes offers antique shops and farms, with all the neighboring people who are kind and polite. The one thing that I had a hard time getting used to is having deer run across the streets when driving these roads in broad daylight. I would recommend tick repellent to those who are coming who may be playing/hanging out in grassy areas here. I would return to rent this location if the opportunity arises.
