Amazing, Relaxing & Quintessential Hamptons House

5 of 5
Our group of 10 coeds stayed here over Labor Day weekend 2014, and it was fantastic. During the booking/payment process, Bob, the owner, was responsive and accommodating, even sending an email of activities/attractions in the area. Once we arrived, the house beyond met expectations set by the online pictures. Each room was spacious and bright, with two living areas and huge deck/yard space. The views of Napague Bay were beautiful and calming, especially from the upper deck. We took great advantage of the outdoor shower (!!), gas barbecue, boogie board, beach chairs and cozy hammock! The beach was a mere 5 minute walk across the street (400 yards indeed) and the beach itself was secluded and beautifully kept. It was just a short walk down the road to two Hampton's hotspots, Cyril's and Lunch, known for its famous lobster rolls! At night, it was very easy to get a taxi to both Amagansett and Montauk. Overall, this was a great vacation and the house made a huge impact. Thanks again Bob!

OUTSTANDING EXPERIENCE, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

5 of 5
I stayed at this incredible home for 5 nights with a close group of friends and work colleagues, and I have to say it was the absolute best experience I could have asked for in the Hamptons. First off, the house is incredible -- the master bedroom is enormous and incredibly comfortable, as were the rest of the beds in the house. The house layout is incredibly unique and is very open, bright and well-decorated. There's an awesome grill on one of the 3 balconies right next to the kitchen, which was great for summer grill-outs. They also have great patio furniture for everyone to sit and enjoy. The roof deck is amazing -- plenty of room for everyone and I could lay there and watch the stars all night -- truly unforgetable stargazing. The beach is not even a 5 minute walk from the house, and they have a lot of great beach supplies for your use in the garage, including a beach wagon to carry all the supplies (also have multiple beach umbrellas, plenty of beach chairs, boogie boards, beach volleyball net, lots of beach games, etc.). The sound system in the house was great for playing music throughout the house and creating a great vibe. The kitchen is fully stocked with supplies, so cooking big meals family-style is no problem. The homeowners are incredibly helpful and kind. They supply a "tip guide" when you lease the house that tells you everything you need to know about the house and fun things to do in the area (as well as logistics like grocery stores, gas stations, etc.). Overall -- I honestly would give this house 10 stars if I could, and I will most definitely be back, hopefully this summer or next. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to have an incredible Hamptons experience!

Wonderful cottage right on the bay

5 of 5
I've stayed at the house on Gardiner's Bay at Fresh Pond for short periods for the last three summers. We keep coming back because it is a wonderful, cozy home that is literally steps from the bay beach, which is frequented by locals and families, and lots of dogs (which we enjoy). It is perhaps not for those who are looking for complete seclusion and constant quiet -- there is a parking lot and picnic area nearby, which do get traffic regularly -- but the view is amazing, the house has absolutely everything you need for a comfortable stay, and Amagansett is much less crowded and crazy than nearby East Hampton. The house is also situated near the Paumanok Path, the 125-mile hiking trail that traverses the eastern end of Long Island -- so you can enjoy the woods as well as the beach without driving anywhere. Moreover, Elizabeth is a fantastic owner and person, accommodating and helpful, and a joy to work with. It is a true delight to stay here.
