What a great place to stay. We got to meet Sarah this year and what a treat she was. Also got to see Heidi and that was fun. Last year we just did a wine tasting and didn't stay but I saw the wine slushies and knew I wanted to go and stay, so we visited and stayed in May. Steve's staff is so great. They are friendly and will do what they need to do to make your stay a great one. You feel like visiting royalty. Even the guy mowing the lawn waved to us. The cottage is as advertised. It is very clean and well supplied and like being home. Thanks Steve for your hospitality as provided through your staff. I don't know where you get them, but they are the best. By the way, so are the wine slushies. I never had one before. Final note, Homeaway made this rental worry free.

Like Paradise

As this is our third year vacationing at the Smith cottage we are still amazed at the new changes / upgrades we find ever year. We had people along with us for their first visit to the 1000 Islands and they were amazed at the beauty.

A Fantastic end to our summer!

The pictures don't do this wonderful property and cottage justice. The gardens and property were immaculate, and the inside was equally well maintained and clean. The original wood and fireplace were amazing. The linens were great, the kitchen was equipped with top of the line appliances and was perfectly stocked. The herb garden was an added bonus! The owners were so helpful in getting us settled both on and off the island. The kids loved ringing the dinner bell for each meal. We would start with breakfast in sun filled breakfast room and end our day with a spectacular sunset on the porch. Jumping off the huge dock and watching the freighters go by was another highlight. I could go on and on - Schooner Island is how summers should be spent! Thank you for a wonderful stay. We will be back!
