Absolutely Awesome Trip!

5 of 5
This is our second year staying in this charming winery cottage for the Oktoberfest. We loved it so much that we have already reserved it for next year. It is a 3 bedroom/ 2 bathroom cottage right on the winery grounds and really close to the activities of the Oktoberfest, which makes it convenient for bathroom breaks. 3 couples split the cost and it works out great! The cottage has everything you need, all you bring is your food, clothing and personal items. The cottage is always clean and fresh. The only thing that would make it better are the beds. One bedroom has bunk beds, which is difficult for adults (but I know that for a family this would work). Plus the beds (like most hotels) are not the most comfortable...but other than that this place is perfect for an awesome time away!

As this is our third year vacationing at the Smith cottage we are still amazed at the new changes / upgrades we find ever year. We had people along with us for their first visit to the 1000 Islands and they were amazed at the beauty.

Adventure in the 1000 Islands

After dropping our boat in the water, we cruised out to to the comfortable cottage following Tara, the owner, in her boat. She was extremely helpful in directing our path around rocks. The approach to the cottage was magnificent! Tara showed us around the cottage and showed us where everything was located within the cottage. We had a wonderful time watching the boats and freighters move across the St. Lawrence Seaway each day from the front deck. The location was ideal for visiting the local towns and castles via boat or by driving from the mainland park. It was also quite peaceful and quiet in the cottage. My overall experience was great!
