PEACEFUL, RELAXING, BEAUTIFUL, PRIVATE TREASURE!

5 of 5
Our family had the pleasure of staying in this newly constructed, gorgeous vacation home! Our intent was to have some time to enjoy each others company for a few days. We definitely chose the perfect house and location to do just that! The house is so comfortable it makes you feel right at home the minute you settle in and it was immaculate! Each of the bedrooms is roomy, have beautiful quilts and decor on the walls, and have plenty of closet space, a TV and a fan for your sleeping comfort. It was a challenge for us choosing which room we were all taking; they all are such beautiful rooms. The master bedroom on the top floor is the gem of all gems!! The bathrooms were all spacious, beautifully designed, fresh and clean and provided us with plenty of towels. The living room and kitchen are an open layout giving it such a cozy feeling and the counter was quite lovely to gather around to chat. The chef's kitchen is an understatement as to what it offered while we prepared our meals. Each morning before breakfast we enjoyed sitting in the hot tub on the back deck, listening to birds chirping while overlooking Whiteface and the surrounding Mountains. Wow! What a way to get our day started! During the days we spent our time out and about taking a few short hikes. The decision was difficult on where to hike because there are so many close trails, say nothing about all the high peaks we could've hiked within close proximity. We took a ride up the Whiteface gondola, went kayaking on the AuSable River, took in the shops in Wilmington and drove to neighboring Lake Placid, Keene, Keene Valley and into Saranac Lake to shop some more, take in some of the Olympic Venues and enjoy the beautiful scenery. In the late afternoons we headed back to the chalet to relax and unwind. We prepared some awesome meals and enjoyed them dining on the back deck among each other's company overlooking the yard and beautiful mountain range. We followed dinner by having bonfires at the massive fire pit sitting in the most comfortable Adirondack chairs. We took steam showers and saunas in the wee hours (a must if you've never taken one). What a way to end our days! This chalet has an overall presence of relaxation and peacefulness and if that's what you're looking for in a vacation home then this is definitely the place for you. It's a true gem! The area too offers so many outdoor adventures. Our only complaint is that it went by too fast! Ty Todd & Kimmy lovely place you do it right!!

AWESOME HOUSE

5 of 5
This home is the lap of luxury. Extremely nicely decorated and it is the best equipped home we have rented. My only wish would have been to have more drinking glasses. This home is located in a prime spot to go to Whiteface Mountain mountain biking, numerous hiking areas, great white water rafting and Lake Placid for bobsled and luge. Activities for all age groups.an animal sanctuary is down the road and some nights you can hear the wolves howling. The hot tub is a great way to unwind after busy days. A great home with something for everyone. The owners were great with suggestions and called the first day to check on everything. You can tell they care about their homes and try to make your vacation a memorial one.

GREAT QUAINT YET MODERN CABIN!

4 of 5
Once we pulled up the kids were in awe! We stayed in mid-July. We stayed in Cabin 2. It was my husband, sister, and her 3 kids- 13,11, and 8. The kids had a ball. We made big bon fires nightly and the pool was great. Overall, very clean and accomodating. We brought our 2 small dogs as well. Next time we will definitely book 2 cabins, but the one we stayed in fit us just right. We slept in the room with the queen size bed. My sister and her son slept in the room with the 2 twin beds, and the little ones slept on the big futon in the living room. When we arrived there were brochures and travel guides awating us, along with a nice letter from the grounds keeper/ property manager. There was free wifi and cable and all worked well. We were 5 minutes from town and provisions, and 20 minutes away from Lake Geroge Vilage, where we spent 2 of the 4 afternoons. At night we BBQed and roasted marshmallows. Definitely will stay again! The only negative was that the rooms had a strong musky smell. Also, when we arrived our bbq wasnt working well. But once brought to the property manager's attention he went out and bought us a new one the next day!
