Relaxing week, cozy home, beautiful Lake George

5 of 5
This is a cozy home - nicely decorated and well-maintained. Our two dogs (100-lb Golden Retriever and 12-lb Yorkiepoo) joined my husband and me for a week of vacation and all of us had a wonderful time. We enjoyed DVDs (our own) on the comfy leather chairs in the living room. The internet connection was excellent (our own devices). The outdoor table and chairs allowed outdoor dining and we used the dining room when it rained. The kitchen was equipped for us to make our meals which we mostly ate "at home" since we had our dogs (who loved the big yard!) The main bath is great - very roomy - with a large counter with double sink. The washer and dryer were a nice convenience too. The main bedroom was large enough for us and both dog crates. The bed was clean and comfortable. Although we didn't need the, there were two bedrooms and a full bath upstairs. Even though it was a cooler-than-average July week, The air conditioners worked well and kept it comfortable. The wraparound porch with rockers and a swing were very relaxing and where we spent most of our time. The lake view was minimized because all of the trees were in full-leaf. But it is a really clear, clean beautiful lake. And the surrounding Adirondacks are stunning. The stars at night were an added bonus! Lots of places to hike and casual walk. Lake George Village isn't far and has nice restaurants and little shops. Just a little further and there are outlet stores, water and amusement parks as well as elaborate mini-golf places. There's even a drive-in theater. Bolton Landing is very close too - nice, but smaller and not as dog-friendly. Mike, the owner, and I communicated through email - which he always promptly answered. We enjoyed our stay on Trout Lake Road and would recommend this property.

Beautiful, well equipped home in nature

5 of 5
From meeting Mr Ginter upon arrival to checking out we were thrilled with the property. A beautiful historic home with cool old features but all the newest amenities nestled in the woods. The location is remote and beautiful- no one anywhere close. A creek on the property and a plethora of hiking trails surrounding we got to hike to ponds and waterfalls and enjoy fire pits (yes there is more than 1!) at night... Kitchen is stocked as you would stock your own. Perfect location to get away from it all- we highly recommend it! Thank you gant!

Gorgeous house, beautiful views

5 of 5
This was a lovely house that has been lovingly restored and renovated to a high standard. It had all the mod cons and three beautiful bedrooms with quality linens and plenty of storage space. The owners really have thoughts of everything to make your stay comfortable. The views from the front rooms looking over the lake were absolutely stunning and we had a very restful stay. The area is quiet and it was great to have the bikes to ride around the town. It was a good base for exploring the surrounding mountains and the house would be a delight to stay in at any time of the year.
