Mini Winter Getaway

5 of 5
I came up here with my girlfriend for a mini vacation. This place is like a hidden gem! We were very impressed with the cabin and how spotless the place was. Every room was well manicured, cozy and roomy as well. There are a lot of windows which provide great natural lighting but well insulated for those cold winter nights. The grand fire place in the middle of the house was definitely our favorite part of the cabin and being high up in the middle of the woods gave it a nice tranquil feeling. The entrance to the roadway up to the cabin can be hard to spot so be mind full of the landmarks the owner tells you. We had a great time here and will definitely be coming back in the future.

Memorial Day 2014 - had a great time

5 of 5
We just got back from our 3 day stay at this beautiful log house. The house was clean, very well decorated and stocked with everything you may need for your family vacation. It accomodated two families of 4 with plenty of spare space. The huge lot size and access to woods made it a fun adventure for kids and adults. The house is set far back from the main road, connected through a long driveway, making it very safe for kids (6, 8 adnd 10) to play with minimal supervision. We enjoyed the firepit everynight, and the huge pile of firewood helped!! We were a little apprehensive about not having internet or cell phone connections, but we really enjoyed the opportunity to wind-down without giving-in to compulsive habits. We did not mind 20-40 minutes drive for most activities as it was well compensated by the size and comfort of the house. We didnt get to meet the owners, but the house has a certain warmth that speaks very well of them. Frank was very resposive and helpful over emails and phone. We will certainly consider staying here again!

Secluded Romantic Retreat

5 of 5
We chose this property because it had mountain views and a hot tub- my only requirements. The cabin is located in Keene, NY- which is a cute little town in the Adirondacks. I am glad we brought an all wheel drive vehicle, because the driveway is steep and gravel. Not sure my Corolla would have made it. We made it just fine with our trailer and canoe, though. This is a very secluded cabin- all you can see are mountains and trees. It is very well placed on the land. Inside is meticulously kept. Everything we needed was there including a grill, pots/pans, etc. There is nothing bad to say. The hot tub was working perfect, the fire pit had plenty of wood, the bed was comfortable. We wish we had more time and look forward to coming back. Our last morning there, 8 deer were in the front yard foraging. They were so close they could hear me cooking pancakes! Wonderful place- was sad to leave.
