A Delightfully Bright, Warm & Welcoming casa

5 of 5
Oh Casa Turquesa - what a special experience you present to those who stay within your walls. You have been a unique home away from home, and your welcoming warmth and spirit will remain with me, long after I depart. To future Casa guests, whether you stay for a few days or a week, as soon as you walk into the Casa, you will feel at home. The adobe walls miraculously provide a sense of tranquility that give you the sense of being miles from town, while truly, you are walking distance to the Plaza and shops. The private courtyard allows for drinking coffee in the morning sun or afternoon drinks on the cool patio. Amy has thought of everything to allow her Casa guests feel at home, and to not want for anything. From the fully-stocked kitchen (dishware, glasses, cooking utensils, and even a blender should you opt for homemade margaritas on the patio) to an abundance of linens, and easy connection to the internet and TV for your electronic needs. While I enjoyed playing Taos Tourist, I also made the time to get out for active exploring. If you enjoy getting out for a bike ride or a hike and then stopping in for a cold beer, my suggestions are available via the Reviews tab or in the Casa guest book. My experience at Casa Turquesa was nothing short of wonderful. I am so happy & thankful that Amy has decided to share her heart and spirit with those who get to stay here; you will feel her kindness and warm touches throughout the Casa. Cheers ~ Angie 'Turq'

Wonderful little hideaway.

5 of 5
Just spent a delightful week in this unique home. The location was perfect for our day time adventures to Georgia O'Keeffe's Ghost Ranch and Abiquiu, Santa Fe, Taos Ski resort, and Ojo Caliente. The original woodwork designed and built by the owner's son was awesome, and the thoughtful design of the well-appointed home with lovely patio and hot tub make this property very special.

Magical Trip!

5 of 5
This was our second trip to Taos and it was great! Jamie's little piece of heaven is a lovely setting and a perfect place for us...close enough to Taos, yet far enough away to really get a sense of the magic of the area. And most importantly....dog friendly : ) There was a total lunar eclipse of the moon while we were there and we had a front row seat from the upper balcony of the house. The house is very comfortable and special because from what we understand, Jamie built it--quite a feat! We love to hike and the Taos area does not disappoint. We went on some lovely hikes, enjoyed the plaza and meeting some of the local folks. And what is a vacation without some challenges. The last day, we had car trouble and Jamie was such a wonderful support. He had tools, supplies, expertise and contacts...all very important. He gave very generously of his time and resources. We truly appreciate him. We'll be back! Carolyn, Steve and Troy the wonder dog.
