All of the comforts and close to everything

What a wonderful little getaway for the holiday. The Casitas are very charming and have everything you can think of. We had the best night sleep there and look forward to coming back in the summer.

Desert Retreat

5 of 5
As a Taos afficionado I have traveled to the town for about two weeks a year for the last 25. I have stayed in a number of places in the area but settled upon Casa La Paloma years ago as the perfect place for my yearly retreat. For the house is more than a place to stay: it nourishes as it protects and calms and energizes the mind to appreciate the desert beauty that encircles the house. This is because Casa La Paloma always feels to me as if it were a part of the desert itself a breathing, living organism as natural to the landscape as sagebrush and coyotes. I could go on about amenities, which are amply supplied or its location to civilization (not too near, not too far) but the main reason to stay are its soul qualities: contentment, peace of mind and a feeling of depth.

Taos Gem

5 of 5
We ventured to Taos in September to just get away and do some mountain biking. Three couples taking a sabbatical from our children. We were captivated by the house and the pictures that were posted online. Well, as professional as the pictures were, they can't do the house justice. It was phenomenal!! It really does have a ZEN feeling to it, not just in the decor, but in the overall ambiance. From the moment we arrived and Sunny (the local host) showed us around, we felt at home. Huge rooms, high ceilings, a professional kitchen and comfy furniture. We did some mountain biking while there (Talpa Traverse is almost out the front door and South Boundary Trail to the south are fantastic). Oh, we'll be back! The ski mountain calls and if we make a trip down, Adobe Zen will definitely be our choice for an extended stay. Our thanks to Mark, Jeanne and Sunny for all of their attention to detail!!
