Recent Taos Reviews

Sweet quiet Taos home near all the action!

5 of 5
We really enjoyed Casa Turquesa! It "feels" like Taos and still has all the modern amenities you want away from home. The colors are uplifting and the space sweetly transitions from one to another! Very clean and comfortable. Highly recommended home in a traditional location. Get the full Taos experience here!

The Absolute BEST of TAOS - Your Own Private Casita

5 of 5
HANDS DOWN, The absolute best stay in Taos! You will not find a better location being in the heart of "All Things Downtown Taos" surrounded by the amazing mountains in the Taos Valley on a quite street off of downtown, the Burch St. Casitas are a true find. Imagine having your own private condo, over 600 sq. ft. of the most serene, tastefully designed Adobe style casitas. I've stayed for over 7 days, after staying one night in a horrible hotel experience. I contacted Jim on the phone and right away he verified that he could accommodate me for the time frame I was looking. The place was so amazing, I stayed 2 extra days. Jim is a master chef who ran a massive Inn with his wife Nancy in the Colorado region, after a successful run there, Jim realized his dream of moving to Taos and operating the best of what he took from his travels around the world. They spared no expense in designing the proper retreat. These casitas were built by Jim and Nancy, outfitted with the most comfortable furniture and equipped with the most amazing King Size bed and finishes. Where do you go and find a Washer and Dryer, Wood Burning Fire Place, Front and Rear Porches, Private Drive Parking and absolute peace? You also have free high speed wifi, a flat panel TV and separate dining & study area. You want to choose the Burch St. Casitas because the owners spent time designing every detail of what it would take to ensure they created a 5 star experience. Not even a 3 minute walk into downtown and you are in the heart of it all. Great art, great culture, amazing food and the most genuine people you will meet. Not to mention a short hop into the mountains if you are here for Skiing, Snowboarding or Trail Hiking. Not only was this an amazing stay at an incredible property, but I was able to create incredible amounts of work. As a writer I enjoy peace and quiet, and this is what I got to fuel my creative fire. I was able to venture away to the mountains a few times for hiking, a traditional sweat lodge, and for capturing the last snow of the early spring. Each time I came back from a full day, it was like coming back to my very own secure and cozy home. You will not be dissapointed here, you have complete privacy, full housekeeping, a FULL KITCHEN, private bath, your own hot water heater to ensure you NEVER have a cold shower. Before you ever consider another place, check out if this property is available. You will absolutely know you made the perfect choice.

Lovely stay in a historic home

5 of 5
Loved this casita! Stayed with my family including 2 teens and our dog, and really enjoyed the place. Funky cool birds and hearts everywhere you look and the home has everything you need. Walking access to all the shops and restaurants and even got a day of skiing in. Only drawback was that its mud season - so Taos in general is not as pretty as it is at Christmas.
