Charming Adorable & Perfect for Couple getaway!

5 of 5
This property delivered and more!!! It was a beautiful getaway and perfect for a couple. We feel so lucky that the owners have worked so hard to create such a place and allow many of us to enjoy the fruits of their labor. This was the first time in many VRBO stays that greeted us after a long drive with a delicious complimentary bottle of Malbec! The casita is warm and inviting with the most modern and up to date essentials. It has everything you need and more to feel luxurious! The hot tub and steam room are definite highlights as well as the patio with it's stunning views and privacy. And the hosts Tammi and Dave were just as fantastic. The were also respectful of our privacy and called before needing to come by and check on the hot tub. There really weren't ANY drawbacks. the drive to Taos was very nice and quick. I would recommend that people be aware of keeping a fire too hot for too long. Unlike a large house the casita is smaller and so we got incredibly dry and overheated from our excitement. I can't recommend this property highly enough. Thanks Tammi and Dave for sharing!

Desert Retreat

5 of 5
As a Taos afficionado I have traveled to the town for about two weeks a year for the last 25. I have stayed in a number of places in the area but settled upon Casa La Paloma years ago as the perfect place for my yearly retreat. For the house is more than a place to stay: it nourishes as it protects and calms and energizes the mind to appreciate the desert beauty that encircles the house. This is because Casa La Paloma always feels to me as if it were a part of the desert itself a breathing, living organism as natural to the landscape as sagebrush and coyotes. I could go on about amenities, which are amply supplied or its location to civilization (not too near, not too far) but the main reason to stay are its soul qualities: contentment, peace of mind and a feeling of depth.

Casa Perfect

5 of 5
We are a very fussy retired couple who have experienced a dozen or so VRBO rentals. We were fortunate to book this with our married daughter, son-in-law, and two grandchildren ages 3 and 5. We live in a house that is 100 years old and know what it takes to maintain an excellent place. THE SHORT VERSION OF THIS REVIEW IS WOW. The age of the home is somewhat of a mystery. I think it was built in the 80's. It looks like it has gone through a major renovation with new Pella windows. The house was spacious where everyone could spread out including an area for all the toys that we brought for the grandchildren. There was a ample supply of things that we needed and most important it was very, very clean. From our standpoint it was perfect. The pool was across the street, an easy walking distance even in cold weather. The small town close by was charming and the kids loved the skiing which was a short drive away. We hope to return to the house again just after the Thanksgiving holiday.
