Incredible!

5 of 5
This property was everything I was looking for when picking a place to stay in Santa Fe. It is basically a one-bedroom apartment with a fireplace and spectacular mountain views. My mom and I wanted something peaceful and relaxing and we found it here. In the morning I sat outside with a cup of coffee and looked out into the mountains. At night I did the same thing with a glass of wine. When I no longer wanted to be on the front balcony I sat in the courtyard, which is lovely. The jetted tub was great. Almost every night I sat in the tub and relaxed. The apartment is part of a house but it has its own entrance, parking area, and porch. Even in the courtyard which is shared with the owners you have complete privacy. It is a 15-20 minute drive to town, and is close to the main highways so it was easy to get around. It is worth the extra money. I don't mind the extra expense at all.

Tranquil oasis in the hills outside Santa Fe

5 of 5
My husband, three-year-old daughter, and I enjoyed a marvelous four nights in Ron's studio apartment this past January. We lived in Santa Fe years ago and knew that we wanted to find a place a few minutes outside of town so we could enjoy big sky vistas, sunrises over the hills and mountains, and hikes in the nearby arroyos. We couldn't have been more thrilled with our choice. The apartment was impeccably clean, comfortably furnished, with wine and yogurts and chopped firewood waiting for us upon arrival. Ron and his sweet yellow lab Ruby gave us the lay of the land and directed us to some great hikes right out our front door. With only a ten-minute drive to the center of town, we were close enough to hop into town for a stroll or meal, but so grateful for the true getaway the peaceful setting provided. We couldn't recommend a stay in this apartment more! We will be back!

Secluded, Charming Casita

5 of 5
I've stayed at both casitas on the property on Pena Place for several years. I stopped looking for any other place to stay after finding Pena Place. The property is at the end of a quiet street in the lovely Guadalupe District. The casita is absolutely charming, and Roxanne, property owner, does a superb job of making it feel like home away from home. The vigas, floors, adobe walls and kiva are beautiful. The kitchen is well appointed with everything you need, if you want to cook in. When you arrive, you'll find a bag of goodies to get you started on your vacation (milk, juice, fresh fruit, bread and always a sweet treat!). The quiet courtyard is beautiful and secluded, with only the sounds of a water fountain. The landscaping is beautiful and the property is immaculate and exceptionally clean. Internet access, CD player, DVD/Video and washer/dryer, make it very easy to never leave the property. The neighborhood is great and you're just a pleasant 10 minute walk to downtown SF and less than that to great shops and restaurants in the Guadalupe District. Roxanne is responsive and will follow up immediately if you run into any problems. Each year that I've returned, she's added some new touch to the property to make it even more special. It is a very special, wonderful retreat!! Not to be missed.
