Gorgeous home and setting!

5 of 5
Our group had the loveliest time staying in this beautiful home! The home is about 10 minutes from town and about 30 minutes to Taos Ski Valley. We enjoyed being in the natural remote setting, but you do have to get in the car to go anywhere (though at times, we just wanted to stay and enjoy the house!). The home was extremely clean, well maintained and had great amenities. I am an interior designer, so I am very picky about how a space looks and feels, and this house was just beautifully done. We enjoyed the hot tub under the stars after a long day of skiing. We didn't get a chance to use the sauna but it looked fantastic. The house and layout was great for kids, all being on one level and open flow. Our son really started walking for the first time on our trip because of the long open corridors. The kids also enjoyed the atrium with sand and playing in the snow outside. I would say you do have to bring some toys if you have little ones, because there are not any in the house. But for older kids, the ping pong and billiard tables were a hit. (for the adults too!) The concierge service was fantastic and very accommodating. They got roll away beds set up for the kids and even draped blankets on the windows to create a darker sleep environment for us. They also did grocery shopping for us for a fee, which was a great help since we arrived late in the evening. Couldn't be happier, we will definitely come back!

Just a great place all around.

5 of 5
Pretty much everything about this home is exactly what my girlfriend and I were looking for when we planned our short trip to Taos. It was very private, accessible, affordable, and just far enough away from town that it offered the exact seclusion we were looking for. These things are nice to have, but they still don't offer up enough description as to explain just how perfect we thought the Casita Ave Maria was for us. I'm a big fan of how this home was put together and the simple, perfect amenities it offered. From the incredible views of the valley and sunsets, the outdoor fireplace, steam shower, large comfortable bed, open living space, and all around in general coziness, this place was perfect for the two of us and we would both definitely recommend. Now if I could just live down taking my inexperienced snow skiing girlfriend to Taos Ski Valley for her first ski trip... I might not ever hear the end of that :) Advice.... Stay here in this home, but make the short drive to Angel Fire for snow skiing if you have a beginner in the group :)

Gorgeous - high end

5 of 5
My family of 7 (seniors, grandkids) rented this house for a week. We were one of the first renters because initial introduction to the place was a little rocky. By the end of our stay though, we loved the house. Pretty amazing decor - all very high-end with the perfect New Mexico flair. The place is very private with a lovely view of the mountains from the living room. This is not your every-day home. The kids especially loved the downstairs basement because they could lounge in their leather recliners watching movies in surround sound with complete sound-insulated privacy. The adults stayed upstairs in the common area. Over all, the place is well-furnished and the three bedrooms are both well-styled and comfortable. The Albertsons supermarket is a 15 minute walk away, and the main downtown street is only a few miles drive away. Very responsive owner. There's also a manager who lives in the same small private community. I would stay again.
