Enchanting

Just driving up the road to the estate is a an adventure. Depending upon the time of year, the landscape can look stark and you just KNOW there are coyotes and other critters hiding behind the pinon trees! In the spring, you’ll see blooms on the desert plants. In the winter time, when you look upwards, you’ll see beautiful mountains covered in snow. I felt like I was seeing Ansel Adams’ view when he photographed mountain scenes. When you approach the Hacienda, you already know you are somewhere special. The side porch beckoned me, and I spent every morning thereafter drinking my coffee and meditating. What a wonderful place to watch the sun come up! Entering the Hacienda, I realized I was in a sacred space. Not just because the home is decorated so beautifully, but because I could see the world through the windows. And at night, you see gorgeous sunsets that are unbelievable. I never realized there could be so many colors in a sunset. On one visit, it rained and rained. I cannot describe the rainbows that came afterward. Each had its own aura and personality and range of colors. As I mentioned, the home is enchanting. But, what I found interesting and unique is the different color scheme in each bedroom/bath; a few of the rooms had their own fireplace. Every bedroom has a story to tell and is welcoming and very comfortable. The kitchen is wide open and spacious. And through its windows, you see the courtyard with its large fountain and sitting areas. The courtyard invited me to become a part of it, and while listening to the water flow, I realized I felt content and complete. As I mentioned before, this is a very special and sacred space.
