Our stay in Angelfire was perfect!

5 of 5
Troy, We had a wonderful time in Angelfire. Your cabin was beautiful and cozy. It had everything we needed to just walk in and feel at home. Your kitchen was perfect with a wide variety of kitchen ware to allow us to prepare all the meals each day. We will defiantly remember you when we make our next visit. Thank you and God bless, Shane Horinek

BEST FAMILY VACATION.....EVER!!

5 of 5
We arrived for our Families spring Break Trip at the Home and were able to meet with Richard when we got there. It was so nice to have him meet us and show us the house, tell us the history, and explain some things to consider while we were in Santa Fe. We had our 4 boys ages 18-9 and the home provided everything wee needed in terms of space, beautiful views, and plenty to do with the Hot Tub, Sauna, and time to just relax. The home was very, very, clean and this is very important to us. We at dinner most nights at an incredible restaurant right at the bottom of the hill from the house called HARRY'S ROADHOUSE. A Great Local place with tons of options and the BEST GLUTEN FREE choices I have ever seen. They make you feel like family when you eat there. Richard recommended we hike Atalaya Mountain right outside the property and it was wonderful. We had difficulty finding it so we called Richard and he picked right up and told us where to go, very nice to have him if you needed him. We were glad we did the hike as we found a Heart Shaped Rock and created great memories with our boys. Richard also recommended going to Madrid and are we glad we did. A very Artsy town with a restaurant called the HOLLAR...GREAT CHEESEBURGERS with BACON. If you are there you can walk all the galleries and you must visit SHUGARMANS CHOCOLATE.. ASK ABOUT THE CHOCOLATE COVERED STRAW BERRIES!! the best and the people in Madrid are so friendly and welcoming. Last but not least you have to visit ? EL SANTURIO de CHIMAYO which is much better than the Loretta Chapel which felt way too commercialized. This place is really beautiful and you can really learn a lot about Santa Fe History. Last but not least you must visit and Hike the TENT ROCKS. Our Family saved this for the last day and it left such an impression. We stayed busy every day and relaxed every evening in the RASS Mandal. At night you can sit outside and see 60 miles over Santa Fe and it is so peaceful and relaxing. The house and the experience is one of our best families memories ever. Thank you Richard for making it so special.

Enchanting

5 of 5
Just driving up the road to the estate is a an adventure. Depending upon the time of year, the landscape can look stark and you just KNOW there are coyotes and other critters hiding behind the pinon trees! In the spring, you’ll see blooms on the desert plants. In the winter time, when you look upwards, you’ll see beautiful mountains covered in snow. I felt like I was seeing Ansel Adams’ view when he photographed mountain scenes. When you approach the Hacienda, you already know you are somewhere special. The side porch beckoned me, and I spent every morning thereafter drinking my coffee and meditating. What a wonderful place to watch the sun come up! Entering the Hacienda, I realized I was in a sacred space. Not just because the home is decorated so beautifully, but because I could see the world through the windows. And at night, you see gorgeous sunsets that are unbelievable. I never realized there could be so many colors in a sunset. On one visit, it rained and rained. I cannot describe the rainbows that came afterward. Each had its own aura and personality and range of colors. As I mentioned, the home is enchanting. But, what I found interesting and unique is the different color scheme in each bedroom/bath; a few of the rooms had their own fireplace. Every bedroom has a story to tell and is welcoming and very comfortable. The kitchen is wide open and spacious. And through its windows, you see the courtyard with its large fountain and sitting areas. The courtyard invited me to become a part of it, and while listening to the water flow, I realized I felt content and complete. As I mentioned before, this is a very special and sacred space.
