Where to start? The location is perfect - equal distant from Santa Fe and Albuquerque, and close to the direct road that leads to Durango. A perfect spot to celebrate parents' 60th wedding anniversary. Went up to Santa Fe for the day, then over to Durango to ride the train, and down to Old Town for the shops. The house was FANTASTIC--a true "Southwest/New Mexico" house: adobe, arches, niches with many personal artistic touches, huge wooden beams, gigantic windows and incredible views. Lots of wildlife: doves, rabbits, etc. Couldn't ask for more! FABULOUS BBQ set-up on porch--mesquite or gas. Nicolle was VERY helpful--lots of recommendations for restaurants. She truly MEANS it when she says "call me for anything you need!" Very rare. She went out of her way to make this very special celebration for our parents even more special, with a welcoming gift. You really do feel like you're staying at a friend's house. The only thing we didn't get to do was use the fireplace (they had even laid a fire for us, ready to go--so thoughtful, but we just didn't get around to lighting it).
We would come back for another stay in a heartbeat, and would HIGHLY recommend this house for anyone who wants a truly New Mexico experience!
