Remote but convenient from Albuquerque, my wife and I travel to New Mexico and stay at 2ponyz several times a year. The property is exquisitely located in the historic Abo Canyon at the south end of the Manzano Mountains and is incredibly peaceful. The view from the property of the Chupadera Mesa to the south and the Manzano Mtns to the north are beautiful. And the casita is amazing, welcoming and comfortable in all manner. We generally bring all the food we need for our stay and prepare it in the best appointed kitchen of any lodging place we've stayed. The kitchen, dining and very comfortable living space have a sublime view of the Manzano Mountains and the kiva fireplace is a delightful amenity. We always sleep very comfortably in the well presented bedroom. The casita is always clean and well maintained. 2Ponyz is close to both natural and historic sites. We enjoy the nearby Salinas Pueblos National Monument (there are actually 3 units separated by 10-20 miles, but you can walk to the Abo unit from 2Ponyz). We often hike in the Manzano's and Sevilleta National Wildlife Refuge and visit the Bernardo Waterfowl Management area near Sevilleta. A bit further drive is the Bosque del Apache NWR, home of the popular Festival of Cranes and the Very Large Array radio telescope - suffice it to say, I could go on describing areas of interest. Although there's plenty to do nearby, spending a quiet, relaxing day at the ranch is one of life's pleasures and we look forward to our next visit! I enthusiastically recommend 2Ponyz to anyone traveling in the region.
