Peaceful Getaway Near Cloudcroft

5 of 5
We had a great and relaxing time here. I love your homey cabin - the colors, the decor, all the unique knobs on the cabinets, books, DVDs, and games. (Plus more ... grill, microwave, wood-burning stove, gas stove for cooking...) I highly recommend a shop called, "The Tunnel Stop Gallery". It has art made by local artists as well as books by local authors. The prices are reasonable and the items are very unique - not the usual tourist type gift items. We enjoyed the shops in Cloudcroft and sampled red and green chili wine. We enjoyed going to the Bluff Springs waterfall; Margarita Monday at The Lodge (haunted by Rebecca); Ruidoso and the drive to Ski Apache; White Sands (and sliding down the sand dunes). Everywhere we went, the scenery was beautiful. We spent evenings watching old movies by the wood stove. The deck has an awesome view of the stars. We enjoyed the quiet and peacefulness at this cabin.

Lovely place!

4 of 5
This is a very lovely house, very clean and tastefully decorated. We carried food items with us that we intended to use for cooking so we did not have to deal with shopping for groceries. There were plenty of dishes on hand to use. I would have given this a 5 star rating except for one thing. The mattress in the master bedroom is not very good at all. It sags towards the middle and was very uncomfortable. We would definitely consider staying at this location again though, especially if that mattress was replaced.

Just what I needed!

5 of 5
This was such a relaxing mini vacation. It was just what I needed. It was secluded which was perfect! The house was beautiful and clean, better than expected. Chris was so helpful and very friendly. Great place for a family to stay. We even had our small dog with us. We saw elk and wild turkeys. Just a perfect weekend! I will definitely tell my friends and family and this little piece of heaven!!!!!
