                    Party of 4 adults

                    5 of 5
So peaceful, close to so many fun opportunities! Rented a pontoon on Lake Hapatcong one day, went to a Jets game, kayaked Culvers Lake , toured Stokes and Warwick, enjoyed watching deer out back porch. We ordered beautiful weather, and it was delivered! Cabin was so cool, rustic, quaint, but with all the home conveniences. Will return in future.

An Enjoyable Summer At This Highland Lakes Cottage

                    5 of 5
This cottage is cozy, clean and comfortable and was well stocked with everything we needed. The location is great with a lake and all of its amenities a short distance up the hill. Though it feels you are out in the country, just two miles down the mountain in Vernon, you will find a supermarket, the post office, a drug store, banks and restaurants. The neighborhood is quiet and the neighbors are friendly and helpful. The owner responded quickly and efficiently to all of our requests. We enjoyed many good restaurants is the area, to name a few -The Mixing Bowl in Vernon and in Warwick, Blarney Station and the Chateau Hathorn (pricey but well worth it). Further south in Stanhope an excellent German restaurant, The Black Forest and far out in the woods near Layton on Rte 206 the Walpack Inn, a favorite with the locals and tourists. The Sussex County Fair was a treat as were the farmer's markets in the area, especially the one in Warwick on Sundays. We had lived in New Jersey most of our lives but had never visited High Point with its spectacular views of New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. We would definitely recommend this property and, God willing, we hope to return next summer. Joe and Marilyn, Jupiter, Florida

                    Love the water!

                    5 of 5
This was a great spot for a reunion of four old high school buddies. You walk in the front door and are immediately struck by the view of this huge expanse of water -- the lake is really right there! We loved sitting outside and listening to the water lapping at the dock. Nice breeze, shade if you need it. It's simply a lovely location. The cottage has everything you would need, but even if it didn't it wouldn't matter. It's just a great place to be.
