Perfect city-girl getaway!

4 of 5
Fourteen city girls stayed at Jamie's lovely home for a getaway weekend. Highlights: 1. Location: Minutes walking to/from the train station, beach and the 7-eleven/pizza/bar/etc. This is a huge convenience. And a super quick drive (we called a mini-van taxi) to enjoy the boardwalk nightlife. Also, it's super easy to get to Bay Head via NJT from Manhattan. 2. Open layout: The house has a big kitchen that extends into a comfortable living room. And the back patio is setup beautifully that allowed all of us to hang out, mingle and enjoy the space. The photos here don't do the house justice; it's a really comfortable house for this many people! Particularly awesome when you live in tiny Manhattan apartments. 3. Jamie: Jamie is a wonderfully warm host. She was very flexible and responsive to all our questions, concerns throughout the booking process and during our stay. The only constructive note I would mention for future tenants is to make note of the garbage policy: the instructions are a tad confusing, we thought we had to take the garbage out to the dump, but no, only the recycling needs to be transported to the dump-- garbage can be left out in the bins at the side of the house. Overall, we had a fabulous time and will definitely keep this house in mind for any future getaways.

Great, "beachy" home for a family vacation!

4 of 5
Comfortable, older home with a short walk to the beach and shops. Didn't use the car all week! Home has the modern conveniences of home: central air, dishwasher, washer/dryer, wireless internet and cable. It had something for everyone's comfort, even a main floor bedroom and bath.
