I love the Kimball Hill Inn!

5 of 5
I love the Kimball Hill Inn! I have been there three times in the past two years (August 2012, October 2012, and August-September 2014). The location is perfect - it's idyllic, gorgeous, and serene and it's perfect for weekend getaways and romantic adventures!!! it is a very easy drive from Canada (just over an hour from the border). The host's hospitality is second-to-none. The kitchen is outfitted with everything you need for a home away from home -- we cooked some magnificent gourmet meals during our stay!! The beds are high quality, as are the linens and towels, and I slept so well in the fresh mountain air. The Inn is located near several beautiful little New Hampshire towns. It's close to hiking trails and loads of little antique shops. It's also just an hour or so away from the shopping outlets in North Conway. I highly recommend Kimball Hill Inn to anyone looking for a magical place to spend a weekend, a week, or longer. I look forward to returning there this fall to see the leaves turning red, orange, and yellow!!

Perfect Family Vacation Home

5 of 5
Our family of 9 (6 adults and 3 children) stayed in this lake house for a week in August and had a wonderful time. The house is even more beautiful than the pictures and was stocked with everything we needed. It was very spacious, giving each family its own space plus common areas large enough to accommodate us all. We especially liked the large dining room table where we could all sit together for a family dinner. The children enjoyed the assortment of toys we found in the family room closet. And there were plenty of floats, tubes and boats to use in the lake, along with life preservers for all. We would recommend this home to anyone who is looking for a relaxing spot nestled in the mountains!

Beautiful and peaceful

5 of 5
We stayed for a few nights in May so we could do some hiking in the area. The house is all on one level and quite large, so we were pleasantly surprised at how much room there was to spread out. We used two of the beds and both were very comfortable, as was the living room/sunroom furniture. Almost all rooms have the same stunning view of the mountains - they have really capitalized on the view with all the sliding glass doors, and it is truly impressive! We never got tired of it. By far the most amazing part was just sitting on the patio at any time of day, staring at the mountains and watching the sky change. It was a bit buggy this time of year, but very manageable (and there was a citronella candle on the table, which was nice!) If we had been there longer we would have bought some firewood because there was a cute little portable fire pit on the patio that would have been fun and cozy (but no wood provided). It was also nice to have satellite cable/internet because it did rain for one of the days we were there, so we spent that day reading and watching movies. There is a grocery store about 20-25 min. away (there may be one closer but that was the closest we found) where we stocked up on food, and we loved the convenience of having the fully equipped kitchen. There were some helpful notes left by the owners, who also called to check up on us at one point, which was nice. We liked that the area was so quiet (maybe two cars passed each day and that's about it) so we felt safe having our dog play with us out on the lawn and explore in the woods with us.
