Quiet and peaceful lake front rental

5 of 5
Rating Details: I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very nice house - simple but offered everything our family needed. View was great and lake was nice (though a few to many lillypads on the border) - but the homeowner does keep a small area clear for better access to the water that is clear. Outside lawn furniture couldbuse an update or power washing. Overall no major complaints and we would recommend it.

Peaceful Family Retreat

5 of 5
Magnificent home: clean, spacious, and private! Beautiful views, well equipped kitchen, three very large common areas to gather together inside (dining room, living room, and t.v. room), four comfortable sleeping areas, Three bathrooms, upper deck area for grilling with two tables and seating for 8+, lower deck and backyard with ample seating, dock seating, kayaks, canoe, and rowboat for guests' use, and owners who demonstrate great care of both their home and the enjoyment of their guests. Our multigenerational family vacation was most enjoyable and will be remembered fondly. Thank you, Kristen, for your quick responses to questions and your willingness to provide a positive experience for our family.

Beautiful and peaceful

5 of 5
We stayed for a few nights in May so we could do some hiking in the area. The house is all on one level and quite large, so we were pleasantly surprised at how much room there was to spread out. We used two of the beds and both were very comfortable, as was the living room/sunroom furniture. Almost all rooms have the same stunning view of the mountains - they have really capitalized on the view with all the sliding glass doors, and it is truly impressive! We never got tired of it. By far the most amazing part was just sitting on the patio at any time of day, staring at the mountains and watching the sky change. It was a bit buggy this time of year, but very manageable (and there was a citronella candle on the table, which was nice!) If we had been there longer we would have bought some firewood because there was a cute little portable fire pit on the patio that would have been fun and cozy (but no wood provided). It was also nice to have satellite cable/internet because it did rain for one of the days we were there, so we spent that day reading and watching movies. There is a grocery store about 20-25 min. away (there may be one closer but that was the closest we found) where we stocked up on food, and we loved the convenience of having the fully equipped kitchen. There were some helpful notes left by the owners, who also called to check up on us at one point, which was nice. We liked that the area was so quiet (maybe two cars passed each day and that's about it) so we felt safe having our dog play with us out on the lawn and explore in the woods with us.
